Hope that the pain is receding and you are feeling better. My teeth are causing problems and I don’t know what I will do when I have my next extraction scheduled for November don’t think my gums will tolerate anything like you have gone through. Take care and don’t rush thing I am sure 24 hours isn’t the expected recovery period though I would probably be just like you expecting to be right as rain straight away6

Hope you’re feeling a little bit better today 🙂 It’s one of those things that’s an ordeal at the time but worth it in the end.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

Thanks all. I'll reply properly later. Well, I haven't needed to take any painkillers yet today & the duck egg swelling in my jaw seems to have started going down, so I am taking those as good signs.
Mr F has gone back to work this morning after his few days off & I really do need to get back to normality. I've got a load of laundry churning & need to listen out for a parcel plus our fish box delivery later. I'm just finishing my ginger tea, then I intend to fetch my notebook & plan a rough 'shape' to my week. Apart from popping to town first thing tomorrow for my flu jab, I don't need to go out, so I can steadily work through what needs to be done without going mad. There will be plenty of budgetary-related activity this week, that's for sure.
Ok, that's my last swig & I'm now feeling positive about making a start.
Talk to you later,
F x

So nice to hear you are up and about FG! I completely understand the need to get back to normality
Nothing throws me more than a disruption to the daily/weekly routines - and the flip side of that is that sticking to those routines is what helps me stay grounded through stresses/illness/recuperation & whatever else life seems to throw into the mix!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! @Sun_Addict - Thanks, yes, I seem to have turned a corner with the pain levels & swelling. I did laugh at your long-ago hairbrush tantrum! I also broke my front tooth. I did it playing kiss chase at primary school.
@Tescodealqueen - I don't know about gums re implants - I know the suitability for them depends a lot on bone strength. Thankfully, when the dentist had cut down to bone level, he found that it was all looking strong & dense. I do have a good calcium & vitamin D intake, so maybe that's a factor. My teeth are hopelessly weak though - they might as well be made from chalk. I have a couple of really dodgy ones on the other side, which I am hoping will survive as long as possible.
@rtandon27 - Yes, that is exactly the same as me! My daily routines are a big part of staying calm & together, so not feeling up to doing my usual stuff at stressful times is a double whammy.
Thanks everyone for your good wishes & sympathy. It's been much appreciated this last few days.

Hello Monday Money Savers,
Well, I started writing a job list this morning, then re-tuned to Sanity FM & just wrote a 'general shape' for my week instead. Having said that, I have still been very busy & am glad I have dinner simmering away in the slow cooker as I am ready to sit down for the evening now. I only need to cook some rice.
Not the greatest night's sleep again, as I couldn't get comfortable, but I haven't required any painkillers yet today, so I think that is a good sign. The dentist's PA phoned me first thing to see how I'd been over the weekend & I am booked in for next week, when I really hope the very prickly uncomfortable stitches can come out.
Anyway, today's small positives on the money-saving front:
*Did garden pickings: 3 courgettes, the rest of the basil, the final pick of beans, chillies & baby carrots.
*Stewed some pears & blackberries. Lush with yoghurt.
*Defrosted some courgette fritters for Mr F's packed lunch tomorrow. (Apparently these make a really good lunch now that I am including 3 per portion & not the 2 that he was getting before!)
*Did 2 loads of laundry & pegged out for free drying.
*Baked bread.
*Made my last batch of pesto for the year. Didn't have any nuts, so used pumpkin seeds instead. 5 pots frozen so we can enjoy a taste of summer in the colder months.
*Used the final jar of last year's home bottled tomatoes in tonight's slow-cooker meal. They looked & tasted fine, so I do feel confident that the method works (just as well, as I stepped up production this year!)
*Did a couple of surveys. I need to step this up as have not hit my £30 minimum PA target for the month yet.
*Took delivery of our penultimate fish order of the year, portioned up & froze.
*Blanched & froze the carrots & beans I picked as they are a perfect amount for a ManStew.
Time to go & shut the greenhouse now, trying not to trip over 2 hungry horaces on the way. Mr F usually gives them their dinner, as if I do it, they expect another one when he gets home.

I sometimes think a general shape for the week is much better than a jobs list every day. I used to to do daily jobs lists and would then get cross with myself if I didn't complete it. For example I would plan to do housework and then the sun would come out and I'd be out weeding the garden instead, or a friend would message to go for coffee. Then I'd plan to do a big exercise session and then wake up feeling too tired so didn't do it. Planning for the week makes a lot more sense.
Glad to hear you are off the pain killers, that's a good sign.Making the debt go down and savings go up
