20 for me please.Wine thoughts crossed my mind this afternoon as work has finished early and there was lots of talk about Xmas alcohol today and the weekend starting. I hadn’t thought about it until today but normally I would partake on this kind of day.I’ve also recognised im feeling a bit sad and lonely. I won’t have any wine as I have my medical procedure is Sunday but I feel like I’m missing out. So I came on here for motivation and to remember why I’m doing what I’m doing. I’d be disappointed in myself tomorrow if I caved now and the urge will pass.Live for the moment and plan for the future4

I’m feeling the same @CuppaTea. I’ve got a bottle in and I’m already thinking about opening it…..6

17/20 for me today please.
@CuppaTea
I have hugely cut down since October, and I found that my (too high) red blood count went down quite significantly (a good thing). Many people don't realise that blood tests can track your alcohol intake over several weeks! My next blood test is 6th January, so that's an added incentive to me cutting right back.
On the down-side, my sister gave me a couple of bottles of wine to contribute to our Christmas day which she is spending with us, and staying over.What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?6 -
Satchmo1 - well done in the cutting form and hopefully your next blood test will yield results. Fortunately my 2 rounds of bloods, urine samples and ultrasound showed all was ok. I really don’t know how yet others can show signs of damage n less than a year. But it has given me a wake up call.Keep at it JCOWI - the desire will lessen as you go. Have you bought the bottle to have tonight or over the weekend?I went out for a walk to see the Xmas lights in our neighbourhood to distract myself. Now drinking AF G&T and the cravings have passed.Live for the moment and plan for the future6
