@CuppaTea I didn’t open the wine……I honestly can’t believe it. I am so blooming happy. Waking up clear headed, and not thinking, oh god what did I do is amazing.I bought a bottle and thought it would be nice to have one glass, but I know that just won’t happen. I would have drunk the lot. Just need to make sure I do the same tonight.
Glad your cravings passed too. Have a lovely weekend.
@cathybird just saw your earlier message, that’s a great idea to include the previous 10 days. That makes me 19 AFD xx7 -
17/24 for me today please, Cathybird.
Have a great weekend everyone!4 -
Season_of_Mist said:Anyone heard from RobM99? Unlike him not to check in for a while.
All is well here, 21 please, thanks for the mention. My Christmas hamper from work contained three bottles of wine, which I have given away. No, honestly. what else? Last night's bizarre dancer - who I imagined had ingested some of the Devil's dandruff! Looked like he was being attacked by an invisible swarm of bees. I don't think he'll remember much of last night.!
Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!5 -
I'm declaring early 14/12 today please Cathybird. I've been caught up in Christmas events the last two days and have drunk at both and felt truly dreadful the next days. Its scary to think that when I drink every day I feel fine the next day. Its so hard at this time of year. Well done to all of you who have managed not to give in to the cravings.4

@JCOWI - huge well done. Awesome work! It’s hard to pull back from the mindset once a bottle has been purchased and thoughts ongoing. I’m impressed. But the saying is true “you never wake up in the morning regretting NOT having a drink!” Go you! 👏🏻👏🏻
Medical procedure is tomorrow, nothing to eat now and no water from 0600 tomorrow. I’m a bit nervous and apprehensive but I hope all they’ll find are the polyps I know I have from a previous look. But I would like an explanation for my symptoms. At least I know my organs and bloods are ok and don’t reveal anything untoward. A bit of health anxiety floating around tonight. So cuppa and early night.21 days please and 27 consecutive days. My 30 day challenge is within reach.Live for the moment and plan for the future4 -
@Justcrackingonwithit thank you, so, on the 18th you posted that you hadn't had a drink for 10 days, so you have now done 12 AFDs for December up to yesterday, and you wanted a target of 8, so adding in the 10 days that makes a total target of 18? Just checking, I think that's right? xx3

@CuppaTea thank you xx hope your procedure goes ok xx
@cathybird I’m not sure what my total is, I last had a drink on 8th December, I’m so happy I’ve managed to abstain this last 2 nights and happy to go with what you’ve recorded for me. The only downside is I’ve replaced wine with mince pies….🤭🤭5 -
17/22 for me please Cathybird.3
