9/20 for me today please. The grumpiness has departed, I'm glad to report.

Today my sister and I planted a gorgeous rose bush "Tranquillity" to mark our mum's ashes. It's her anniversary tomorrow but neither of us are free then. The original rose we planted didn't thrive although we saw a side-shoot with a bud. I reckon the roots from a too-near bush was the reason it didn't thrive. Mum did love roses. It's 5 years since she went up to heaven. Thank goodness she didn't have to endure lockdown loneliness.

See the downfalls and what de rails me, now to decide what to do. The last bottle of wine was taken to a party where I drank it leaving only a premixed bottle of cocktail stuff I would like to re-home and some cider belonging to the boyfriend neither of which I will drink. If I can keep the stuff out of the house I am part way to success.  I suppose I need to be clearer with people who bring it in and gift it.
