Hi all,
hope everyone is well. Lily, hope everything gets sorted with your DH. It sounds really awful.I have to do this really big report for work around this time and it stresses me out a bit and was so glad it’s now done and emailed off.Popped into Aldi for a few bits tonight.Having to take the cat to the vets in the morning. He had an injection a few weeks ago, as the vet said he has a respiratory problem, he sneezes a lot and it often contains blood. The injection really did help but it cost £120. I think he needs a top up.Speak to you all tomorrow.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.677 -
@liberty_lily So sorry to hear about your husband and hope he manages to get to the GP , and please be kind to yourself as well Supporting family or friends experiencing poor mental health is very tough and I think we easily forget to look ourselves which helps us then care for others. I've been guilty of not looking after myself and then less able to look after others as well as I would have liked/hoped and feel guilty about it. This is turn I think is a factor in me feeling guilty/ not being good at self care so urge people to make sure they get sleep and take care. x

Liberty Lily all you can do is be supportive as your husband tries to navigate his way through such an impossible situation with his belligerent client and his other 2 clients who have not paid him.
The stress of all he is dealing with at the moment is also affecting you, but do not expect instant solutions from your Doctor, as mental health services are sadly very underfunded.
I hope that somehow, the both of you will get through this really difficult period in your lives.
We are all here supporting the both of you, even if only with words.6 -
@liberty_lily Hope this gets resolved soon - has your husband considered speaking to Trading Standards for advice? They may be able to intervene & help resolve the issue, otherwise perhaps a 30m session with a solicitor who specialises in commercial disputes might be needed to send a solicitors letter.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hello Ladies,
Yesterday evening my daughter and I went to have a 3 course meal with a soft drink to the Nigerian/Caribbean restaurant. I had a Groupon that had only cost me £21.21 for food and drink that would have cost me £56.We had really delicious food. I had jerk chicken wings for my starter, then steak with a pepper sauce, chips, a side salad and half a grilled beefsteak tomato. For dessert I had apple crumble. I had a cup of tea, as I don't drink soft drinks. My daughter had the suya peppered beef starter, beer battered fish with chips and the chef's special tartare sauce and for dessert she had a brownie. She had a cup of hot chocolate in lieu of her soft drink.
The restaurant was very warm, and there was just the right music playing in the background. We received really good service, so we gave the waitress a £5 tip.
I went to the Blackfriars Settlement mental health and wellbeing discussion group this morning/afternoon and we had a lively discussion about our positive and negative personal experiences with the NHS. I was given a large box of Diary Box chocolates as a free gift.I am sharing them with my son and daughter.
I went to my local Lidl in Camberwell and did a shop of mostly tinned food which cost me a total of £26.36 for the local foodbank. This shopping was to pay forward the generosity of Wednesday in sending me the 2 hardback copies of Prince Harry's book Spare for free.I will be passing on my copy when I have finished reading it to a member of the Blackfriars Settlement mental health and wellbeing group, as he mentioned that even at the half price of £14, he could not afford a copy, but he really wanted to read it.

Thanks so very much for all your kind messages of support ladies 💐😊💐
My DH hasn't managed to get a GP appointment yet - and is due to start his new job on Monday - but he is feeling a little brighter at the moment.
I'm not posting much right now, but am reading along as always and hopefully will be back with better news soon 🙂6 -
Meant to add - very sorry to hear about all the issues at your temporary rental place, Helen 😪5

Thanks Lily.......🤞 i think I am on top off everything now. Plumber here yesterday, replaced taps and waste in sink so hopefully it's all sorted, carpets drying out at last. They pong a bit but as soon as they are fully dry I will de-oderise them. Then after my family go back home I will shampoo them.
Good luck for your husbands new job.....hopefully it will give him a bit of a boost.Well January really isn't my month......😱😂.
on Tuesday I broke a tooth in the afternoon and then blow me my bridge dropped out in the evening. #toothlessoldcrone. Lol.Luckily I've got an emergency appt tomorrow so we'll see what can be done, the bad news is I had to cancel tomorrows appt with the chiro, just in case. I rang them and asked their advice and they said it would be better not to have the two treatments on the same day,
I had to have some emergency dental treatment just before Christmas, abscess and root canal. I think it's obvious that my teeth are giving up the ghost now, the bridge and crowns are probably coming to the end of their lifespan. I have booked a consultation with an implant specialist in February. I have put it off long enough. Needless to say I'm not looking forward to the Treatments but apparently they do offer sedation. I'm not a nervous patient as such but I think I might take them up on that.I've also got a sore throat today but I've noticed that I often get a sore throat when I have dental problems, so hopefully it won't come to anything.
honestly I feel like I'm dropping to bits. 😂Hey ho.....I'll stick with my plan, just redouble my efforts to get fit and healthy and trust that by the end of the year these issues will all be resolved.Feeling shattered, so an easy afternoon and a simple dinner of bung in the oven haddock and chips. Not exactly WW friendly.....ha ha.7 -
Just reading along and wanted to post, sending waves of support to all who need them. I too have teeth struggles but my lovely dentist refuses to talk implants until I can get the stress in my life under control.
Just now I think if I have showered and cleaned my teeth and fixed my hair, have clean underwear and manage to get into bed with a lovely pillow smell I'm winning. Its not a lot but its more than when I started the journey.
Blood tests tomorrow then hopefully can progress health a step more.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!5
