Morning all, and so September rolls around. Last proper day of the holidays today, then the weekend, then back to school. Having a bit of a lie-in with the laptop this morning then off to get some bits using a Boots voucher and some food shopping.
I ended up with £50 left over this month, this will be added to the holiday pot. It's looking more likely that we will go in the summer I think which gives me longer to find the money too.

Morning, so in the summer holidays I set myself the challenge of aiming to make/find £27.40 a day (£10,000 a year) which I achieved. As I am back at work on Monday I am realistic that I can't maintain that kind of level, however I am aiming to make £5 a day which would give me an extra £150 a month. This would go straight into savings as it is surplus to my budget so shouldn't need to be spent. Yesterday there was a distinct lack of prolific surveys but I did a cheeky £2 bet on last nights football and won a tenner so the pot is up and running and I need to start working on finding todays pennies
Another day with very little planned - a bit of pottering this morning followed by the usual footie this afternoon. Yesterday I defrosted a pack of mince and made a Bolognese in the slow cooker which cooked overnight on low. When I got up this morning I batched it all up into 6 tubs and its cooling ready for the freezer. I've even put the ingredients into MFP and worked out the calorie content (274 per portion).
one lot of washing in the machine, dry washing folded and put on the stairs ready to go away, coffee is made and now it's time for a catchup on here.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

And so the final day of the holidays has arrived and the sun is, at last, shining
Todays plan is to make sure everywhere is spick and span ready to go back and then enjoy the day relaxing. I've tidied my room, upstairs just needs a hoover.
Ds has gone to work but has put his washing on before he left which was good! Dishwasher has been emptied, coffee is made and actually I think I seem to have finally cracked this 'keeping the place tidy' lark! Downstairs just needs a quick dust and hoover too, maybe I'll vax the carpet again as it's muddy again - still waiting for the turf to be done ...
I did pack my bag ready for tomorrow and found £4.00 in the bottom of it, guess where that's goingI need to review the to do list, do those few bits, then I can mooch to my hearts content! x

Thank you, yep overall I'm pretty damn pleased with the last few weeks progress. I think I've also narrowed down the holiday, just witing for the go ahead from ds' work so I can book it. £5.00 bonus payment from prolific arrived today, added to the September pot. In terms of my signature I am adding any extra pennies to the £5 a day challenge, then at the end of the month that will be moved to the holiday fund.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
