And FINALLY I get around to reading through your diary! Great work on the car passing the MOT test and the summer holiday money making challenge too - that's astonishing, clearing out all the card stock must have given you so much space, too!

Hello EH
So this afternoon I found a random tin of woodstain in the garage, no idea when I bought it but that has been all used up painting the garden table and chairsI don't think that was a job on the list as I was thinking of skipping them, but I reckon I might get one more summer out of them.
I've had an early dinner as I was hungry - chicken kiev, chips and sweetcorn, and am going to go and have a bath now then potter around making sure everywhere stays ship-shape indoorsMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Morning, so overnight I was woken up a couple of times by the rain hammering down. Today is overcast and damp, so it seems the perfect time to get on with my financial audit. I want to feel in control of what's going on again financially, I need to sort through all my finance paperwork, then create a spreadsheet or a list of all my bills, which account they go from, which date, when the renewal is due etc. All paperwork has been gathered onto the dining table along with the laptop and a big mug of coffeeMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Turns out there wasn't that much paperwork after all, nearly all online these days, but I did clear a bug chunk of it, then did a spreadsheet and checked renewal dates etc. I have also gone through all my Monzo pots and checked the interest rates - seems that rather than the rates going up they just stay at whatever rate you opened them at. But you can open as many new ones as you like, so I opened lots of new ones and transferred from the old pots, so they are now earning 4% instead of 1.8% I know I could earn more in other accounts but these are small pots that are accessed fairly regularly (eg. birthday/ Christmas fund, house maintenance, car maintenance etc).
I had a look at my pensions too, I don't really understand my school one, they are more confusing than regular ones, but think it's okay.
I also picked up the boots I ordered on Vinted, not sure if I mentioned them? I bought two pairs a couple of weeks ago - basically I had decided to buy some slippers for the winter to keep my feet warm. Saw some I liked in Tesco for £18 but didn't get them yet. Then had warm memories of my Ugg boots many moons ago, and while I wouldn't wear them out these days I thought they would be fabulous as slippers indoors. Anyway, went on Vinted and found some Emu boots (very similar to Uggs, just not as trendy), brand new for £18. Ordered them and they arrived and are wonderful. Also found another pair of brand new Emu boots, brown leather, sheepskin lined, this time £22. They came today and I am in loveSo £40 for two pairs of brand new boots, very very happy and ready for winter

I absolutely love Vinted - browsing there is my new hobby😉 But, I have got a fair few new bits for school at a fraction of the cost it would have been in the shops.I really need to sort out a new signature!1
