Despite my best efforts my energy levels are still not yet up to cleaning / decluttering like my head wants to ... I have tidied my bedroom, it and the bathroom just need a thorough clean. Downstairs is tidy but again needs a thorough clean through. Maybe tomorrow :) I have decided that this afternoon will be spent sorting some finances, clearing some emails and probably having a nap under a blanket on the sofa :)

Today will be another attempt at getting some stuff done, I have already this morning emailed the boiler guy to book in a service before the winter, I've emptied the fridge of all the stuff lurking in it that have seen much better days and also bought myself a new (very basic) laptop. Mine gave up the ghost a few months back and I have been using my work one but with the footie season starting again tomorrow I can't use that for gambling, so have spent my birthday money on a new one. It isn't very flash but will allow me to do what I need to do on it to make some more pennies :I, I need to go and collect it later today.

Depending on my energy levels I also need to do a food shop today and then try and get a few bits crossed off my list. I also need to book in my MOT.

Just been checking some banking and when I got paid at the end of July I got £215 more than I budget for. My laptop was £300, I had £150 from birthday money so £150 of this extra money will pay for the rest of that and the remaining £65 will go into the holiday pot.

Bed has been made, rubbish has all been taken out, one double kitchen cupboard has been emptied and cleaned - a shocking amount of stuff was out of date (crisps, popcorn, pasta, stuffing, sauces etc). Cupboard is now clean and the remaining bits will go back in. I think psychologically I remember my Mum having full cupboards as a child and I feel like I ought to if that makes sense, however so much of what was in them is rarely used. I need to adapt to the way we eat now, I rarely make a big family meal these days, I really don't need the quantities of stuff that I had. So, minimalist food cupboards ahead too! I have two other food cupboards - one has a high turnover and I know none of that is out of date - cereals, biscuits, crackers etc, that one just needs a wipe out and putting back. The last one is my tins  and baking cupboard - again I rarely use tine but must make an effort to use some up. Lots are things I use more in the winter - kidney beans, butter beans, chopped tomatoes etc, the baking part probably has lots of out of date / opened things that are past their best so will need a declutter too. Even though the cupboards are going to be pretty empty I don't feel the need to restock it all - there will be shopping done, we don't have any biscuits, crisps etc left now however lots of what I've thrown away is because I don't use it, so no need to spend money replacing it!
I do need to clean the fridge too, I emptied it this morning but the shelves need a clean. The shelves are pretty bare in the fridge but the door is fairly full with milk and lots of condiments / sauces. Having a quick rest now but will be back to it soon :)

Fridge is done, cereal cupboard is done, can't face the tins cupboard just yet. Had an email to say the laptop is ready to collect so in a bit I will go and get that and do a food shop while I'm out. I might need a nap when I get back as I feel tired already (was up at 6 though). Binmen have been so they are all empty again, I have one binbag full from the cupboards /fridge / bathroom bins etc, I might drop that into the tip on my way past this morning to be rid of it straight away.

Well I've been super productive - I went to the tip and got rid of the kitchen rubbish, then on to Homebase and got a click and collect order I'd done - 6 new mugs, reduced to £2 each and they are gorgeous :) Then on to collect the laptop. Next was stocking up on petrol, (45), then re-booking my eyebrow appointment that I cancelled last week when I wasn't well. Lastly the food shop - I spent £56 altogether which wasn't bad at all as it included a pack of 5 uni-ball pens (£5), I always buy one of these for the start of the Autumn term and they tend to last me all year. It also included a tub of Heroes and a tub of Celebrations for my team at work, just need to put them away now until December ...

Home now, shopping put away, feeling tired but at least I feel I've got a few bits done today.
