A productive morning, even if I haven't done what I planned to. Instead I've blitzed the lounge - wicker drawers and wicker baskets have been decluttered (another bin bag filled - so many old dog toys that he won't play with, random batteries, old pens without lids, half-used notebooks etc). Then I have cleaned the lights, the skirting boards, under the sofas, all sofa cushions removed, cleaned and returned - this is a job that happens far less often than it should. Dusted everywhere, hoovered through and it finally feels almost done. I still need to vax the carpets but I need a warm day to allow it to dry, that will make a big difference when that job is done. The only other jobs still on the to do list for the lounge are:

Fixing the lights under the stairs - need ds to help me with this
Sanding the coffee table and waxing it - again a job that needs doing outdoors
Paint bannisters - a job for another day :)
Clean blinds - I will chuck them in the washing machine on a sunny day as they need to hang on the line to dry
Gut shoe cupboard - will do that after lunch

Feeling pleased :) Time now for a roast chicken salad wrap for lunch then maybe some paperwork this afternoon so I can sit :)

Morning all, yesterday I managed to go all day without a nap which felt like a huge breakthrough :) I also didn't get to sleep until almost midnight, I did manage a lie-in though so still got my 8 hours sleep. This morning I have had a coffee and my vitamins (vitamin D, iron, magnesium and probiotic).

I've also just done a survey that should bump up my prolific total a bit, hopefully will cash out there later today. The plan for today is to get out for a bit, not sure where yet but the weather looks good so I don't want to be indoors all day. I also want to do another tip run, currently I have 2 bin bags (one decluttered, one just general rubbish), and want to fill another two, probably from the garage, to start making a dent in there.

Got sidetracked with the bathroom and have emptied and cleaned all the cupboards in there, lots of almost empty shampoo bottles / shower gel etc that had gone gunky around the lids have been binned, some hand cream that has probably sat there for 10 years as I'm not keen on the smell has been binned, various other bits and pieces too. My makeup box has also been decluttered, dried up mascara, lipsticks that I don't like, lip-gloss that has gone gunky all binned. Bathroom has been cleaned but I still need to scrub the tiles / grout, however feels like another win.

Last night I watched The thief, his wife and the canoe - I binge watched all episodes which is so unlike me, I normally only watch football with the occasional bit of Four in a Bed chucked in but I saw this on Gogglebox when I was flicking the other night and loved it. Still such a bizarre story, beyond belief that they thought they'd get away with it or that they could do that to their own families.

Feeling a bit sluggish this afternoon so went to see Mum for a coffee and brought the dog back here. Swooped in the garage and filled a bin bag of rubbish and another with some old clothes that were out there, probably put there while waiting to go to the textile bank and never got there, so tomorrow morning they, with the other 2 bags, will all be dropped off at the recycling / tip.

I've got a few more cards listed for sale, other than that it has been a sofa kinda afternoon although I have stayed awake again. I have taken my vitamins again, I think this may be helping with the energy levels. Tonight will be a shower then an early night me thinks.

MOT booked in, I joined Halfords motoring club, its £49 for the year but that includes the mot, a £10 voucher, bulb or wiper fitting and 2 health-checks. I've booked in a health-check for tomorrow, hopefully that will cover the basics and fingers crossed for the MOT later next week :)

Hmm, I've been checking all the banking stuff and somehow I seem to have more money left after bills than I started with at the beginning of the month  :D Not quite sure what I've calculated wrongly, will need to go over it all and double-check again later as something is amiss!

As the weather has picked up this afternoon I have managed to get the fences painted, that was one of the jobs that had to be done as otherwise they will go in to the winter untreated and will rot quicker, so am pleased that one is crossed off the list :)
