Brilliant result @SingleSue! many congratulations to you and your son on your losses and shineys! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

2lbs is good @cherry_22! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ You're right that next week might be a write off as afar as the scales are concerned but if you did have a gain remember it's false and just water retention. Stick to plan and the loss will show up eventually.

I'd happily settle for STS tomorrow @joedenise. You've done brilliantly to cancel out the AI holiday. I was feeling hopeful that I could maybe get a loss tomorrow but, although sticking to plan I'm feeling fat.ย  We'll see what tomorrow brings.โœŒ๐Ÿผ

Well done for staying off the sweets and chocolates @beanielou.

I had an idea @Hundredsandthousands, that if you didn't want to weigh weekly, you could just post the same weight on line until you're ready. Do they comment when you post your weight on the site? Ask for food diaries? Offer help?๐Ÿค”

    Tomatoes!! They'll soon be a rarity @bubbs!๐Ÿคฃ
You're son is a real star @Jellybaby. I don't think he'll be the only one growing their own salads this year.ย

Sorry to hear about your sister. Obviously what's happening is stressful for you all but particularly difficult with MH problems.

I went to the funeral today and felt obliged to have something when everyone else was eating. I had 2 chicken legs (removed skin), a few grapes and two very small pieces of cheese (certainly no more than a HEA allowance). I drank fizzy water. As I went into today with 18.5 syns left over I know I'm not over syns for the week.ย

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk for drinks, scrambled eggs (P)
L- sardines (P) with pickles (S), lentil and veg soup (P,S)
    D- SW Bolognese (P,S), spaghetti (F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- cheese 6?

Morning all, a very grey and miserable day here but I'll still hung out a machine load of washing but don't think it will actually dry as there isn't any wind.

Good luck for WI @maman. ย Have you got any leeway in your target range or will a gain take you out because your at top end like me?

So sorry to hear about your sister @bubbs but not really too surprising in the current circumstances.

    Today's plan:

    B - stuffed mushroom - HEA2; S; F
    L - scrambled eggs and spinach on toast - HEB; P; S
    D - cottage pie, veg - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread

    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

L - baked potato with tuna, salad and pickles (1.5 syns for salad cream)
D - pork medallions, cubed potatoes, broccoli, carrots, peas and sweetcorn

Morning everyone - I survived!!! Glad I gave you a giggle - lord knows we could all do with a laugh!

@bubbs so sorry your DSis is struggling with her MH. Hardly surprising with all that's going on. I hope she's okay xx

I'm going to plant some broad beans, lettuce, basil and chives this weekend. The seeds were 5p/packet in Wilkos last October - still very much in date, I think they were just clearing space for Christmas stock. I usually buy a tomato plant and courgette plant too, plus we have 5 crowns of rhubarb in the garden. It all helps.

I still haven't been food shopping! I've found some Donald Russell sausages in the freezer, so DH can have those and I'll have LM ones. Will do some SW chips and veg.ย

    Food today will be:
    B - 2 WM toast, 2 tsp jam, 2 satsumas - HEB, 1, S
L - poached egg, grilled bacon, baked beans - P, free
D - LM sausages, SW chips, veg from Olio haul (cauli, carrots, broccoli) - Free, S
    HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar 3 plus 1 for jam so 4 total

    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

  • congratulations!ย  SingleSue & son on your losses & getting your 3 stone sticker.ย

maman That's a great idea, now I'm wondering why I never thought of that, lol

It was a friends birthday yesturday andย  I found myself sitting amongst cake and chocolates but only had a cup of tea o:)

Im thinking of making a roast dinner today and how will i work out my gravy syns?

Jellybaby , The past few years we have been growing our own salad, things like tomato, spring onions, radish ,lettuce, cress, carrots, cucumbers, beetroot. Now my husband has put in some apple trees and a rhubarb root and a raspberry cane.
We have a smallish garden andย  he wants to take up alot of the floor tiles to grow more :oย ย

oh that all sounds fab @Hundredsandthousands My back garden is mono blocked and pebbled so will be using pots, bags and making a few raised beds.ย  DS wants to take up the patio area but that's a step too far for me as it was expensive to have it done and he will be moving out this year anyway (fingers crossed!) ๐Ÿคฃ

@Hundredsandthousands - how do you make your gravy? ย Syns for gravy granules are 2.5 per Tbs (1 per tsp). ย If you make your gravy using cornflour then you would syn however much you use (1 syn per Tbs or 0.5 per tsp).

I went to WI this morning and lost a pound.๐Ÿ‘ I'm pleased with that as it keeps me in target range which is what I needed.

I'm still 2 lbs over target @joedenise but it's so hard to lose that last couple of pounds despite being on plan and using a food diary for the past five weeks.

Obviously the gravy will depend on how much you have @Hundredsandthousands but I tend to allow 4 for either granules or home made. I have to use granules tonight but normally I make my own from meat juices and a tbsp of cornflour. Stock and seasoning is free but the meat juices inevitably have some fat so that's why I count 4. Ideally, I have gravy in the freezer but none left. โ˜น๏ธ

ย I can't do a link on my phone but if you google Hairy Bikers braised steak, that recipe makes the most amazing beef gravy. It's only half a tsp of cornflour for 4 portions so I count it as syn free. I make it up using meat for 2 but the full recipe of 4 portions of gravy and freeze the leftovers.

My DH is having different sausages tonight too @Coxy11. I don't have enough Aldi skinny ones so keeping those for me! ๐Ÿ˜

Pots and raised beds are much more manageable @Jellybaby. Strange how there's plenty of salad veg in the rest of Europe. I'll be shopping tomorrow so just hoping the shelves won't be too bare. I have a few tomatoes in the fridge. Maybe I should put them on ebay! ๐Ÿคฃ

    Today's EE plan -ย
    B- HEB Weetabix, HEA milkย
    L- hash with fried egg (P, F, S), beetroot and cornichons (S)ย
    D- sausages, mash (F), veg (S)ย
    Syns - gravy 4, Aldi sausages 1
