👏👏👏 on the lb loss @maman.  I know what you mean about those last lbs to get back to target.  I've got 2.5lb to get there.  I'm hoping I can lose 0.5lb a week over the next few weeks before our Gambia holiday which would take me down to 0.5lb under target and give me a few lbs to play with.  I seem to have been around top end of target for months now (and over after holidays!).

I popped into our Aldi today and there didn't seem to be any veg shortages that I could see.  There were masses of peppers whereas when I went to Tesco at the beginning of the week it was mainly green ones in the packs and not that many of them - I actually wanted red or orange ones or even yellow so ended up buying loose ones.

I made enough cottage pie to have another meal from it so will slot it into the menu plan in a couple of days time and leave something in the freezer for a another time.

    Well done @maman x

I got some free veg from
Olio last week. One pack was carrots cauliflower and broccoli from Iceland. I froze it and took it out tonight to steam but the packet said not suitable for freezing!? I must admit the texture was a bit odd even after 10 minutes over a pan and 2 minutes in the MW. There’s a bit left for tomorrow so I’m going to chop it up and make B&S with an egg. No waste here!

I'm 2lbs from target @joedenise but, like you, I seem to have been hovering at the top end for what seems like ages!

I had hoped that as we've only eaten out once (and that was low syn because DH couldn't drive with his wrist) since last WI that I might have lost more. ☹️

I've got quite a bit on in the next few weeks, starting with lunch tomorrow so I'm back to 'good when I can'. 😁

    Hope @bubbs is OK? 🤔

Morning all. Hope everyone is well.

Had a 1lb  loss last night at weigh in, so was really chuffed at that!

The group was quite interesting last night and the consultant changed it up a bit after mouth almighty’s outburst last week. Pretty much everyone chipped into the discussion. Have decided to have baked oats for breakfast today, not had it for a while.

Hope everyone has a good day. xx

    Morning,

Well done @Abbafan1972 x Was the gobby one there last night?

I am weighing in tomorrow but not staying to group as I'm off wedding dress shopping with DIL2B. I'm meeting her mum and sister for the first time and we are having lunch after. Feeling a bit nervous tbh!

    Food today:
B - Weetabix choc melts, mullerlight vanilla, blueberries, banana - HEB, 0.5, S, free
    L - B&S with lo veg, 2 satsumas, grapes - P, S, free
D - not sure. We have the cinema booked for 6.15pm (it was either that or 8.45pm!) Might get a chicken kebab afterwards without pitta but with loads of salad or Nandos. Will have a look in the freezer later to see whether there's anything else quick and easy.
    HEA - milk
    Syns - hi fi bar 3, 0.5 for mullerlight, kebab/Nandos ???

    Have a good day all

We never stay to group, just weigh and go. When we weighed in on Wednesday, the person weighing us made a comment about it would be nice if we could stay one week so that they can celebrate our losses with us..that would be middle son's worse nightmare!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Well done on the loss @maman and @Abbafan1972 good going!

Hope @bubbs is OK too 😘

Will go to WI tomorrow  but as it's guaranteed to be a gain I may not stay to class.  I don't particularly like the 'round the room' chat but normally stay to pick up any tips or news but consultant is more likely to want to delve into what's causing the gains, yo-yo-ing etc.  I've already had a one to one chat with him, I'm just not into sharing with strangers!

    Today's food:
B - toast and banana (enjoyed it so much yesterday)
L - baked potato with beans and salad bits
D - chicken stir fry with noodles

Hope you are all having a good day.
  • Visited Tesco this morning and there were plenty of tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers and I
managed to get the light & free yogurts on a clubcard deal @ £1.50  so stocked up for the next 2 weeks.

I spoke to my cousin who lives in canada and she told me a cauliflower out there was now £7.90  :o
so I wonder if ours will rise that much? No wonder people are turning to gardening.

Jellybaby  I've managed to talk my husband out of digging up the garden, :D
So we are going to do the same and buy more pots to add to our collection.

Coxy11   I also got seeds from the wilko sale last year, they made great garden gift sets for the family.

joedenise & maman  Thankyou for the gravy tips and syn information, I usually smother my meals in gravy
so will have to control myself (if I can)

    Well done maman and Abbafan1972

The past few days my energy levels have dropped, could it be the diet?

Wow not sure I like cauliflower enough to pay that price!!

Are you eating enough free/speed food @Hundredsandthousands - you can fill up on these to keep your energy levels up. I'm more of a grazer, so have smaller portions for meals and have snacks in between - I've always been like this. Some folks prefer 3 larger meals a day and no snacks. The plan works for all variables!

Slight change of plan for lunch. I had the lo veg, chopped up small and mixed with an egg - made a sort of frittata. Also had a portion of veg soup from the Olio casserole veg bag. Was nice.

M&S have just delivered the loveseat and taken away the non-matching chair - happy days - has only been ongoing since May 2022! Lovely delivery guys as well. DH currently christening the love seat AND EATING HIS LUNCH ON IT!
