Oh dear, Valli - I'm sorry, it made me laugh too, especially "if I were a male..."
x
Glad your DS is a little better, YL xx
Car part sourcing vibes for your mechanics, round x
Good luck with starving all the cats, kaz!
I have done various jobs today:
- cleared a few more Christmas decorations
- cut up a few of the cards to make gift tags
- sorted my "pending" file
- put in my meds order, and DH collected them from the pharmacy
- paid a cheque into the bank via an app, so I didn't need to send DH to the PO
- took Rosie for a walk
- decluttered some phonecalls and emails but forgot to ring K again
- made a SW meatballs recipe for tea which went down very well
- decluttered some chocs for afters, oops.
DH had an appointment with his new cardiologist and has been told that he is a "complex case" - and that's without them doing a brain scanHe has already been diagnosed with sleep apnoea (which often comes with heart problems) and now the cardiologist wants him to have a full sleep test. Well, he won't have any difficulty passing that one

Ho hum…. You are more than welcome to laugh… it is funny (bear in mind I ended my career in KS1) especially when I ‘accompany’ myself walking to the loo! And at least I’m not puking/feeling nauseous! 4+1 failed chemo session in I’ve yet to take my anti-nausea meds!I’ve just woken up! Am trying to steel myself to go and stick the towels etc in the TD. Have also washed the oven gloves/pot holders. And I’ve just remembered I was planning to declutter a little fabric stash, so I’ve pulled it out ready. I also ‘did’ my sock drawer yesterday, some v. old and worn socks have gone, as I had some for my birthday and some for Christmas.
So, well over 6 hours since I took a painkiller…in no pain so I’ll give it a miss.
Help yourself to cantuccini (almond), though there are a couple of digestives.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

@Valli the other day I passed wind very loudly which made my OH laugh, scared the cats, then made me laugh, as I continued to trump away like a demented trumpet. Lasted about 5 minutes. We had to open a window. I say let them free! Would a peppermint tea help ease the discomfort at all? My IBS has miraculously settled since becoming pregnant - a very welcome side effect that I'm hoping sticks around (unlike the heartburn) - but before when I was having tummy troubles a nice peppermint or spearmint blend would help me feel just a little better. Also re: pain relief, just remember that it can have a cumulative affect so it might be better to take one even if you're not in pain to keep the levels right!
Terrible nights sleep here, tossing and turning all night and I woke up at about 3am with racing anxiety thoughts that didn't settle for about an hour but I'm up and about now, grateful that I'm not working today. I've already unloaded the DW and will reload it before I pop to town to pick up a few bits. I'm very excited about the lovely plush maternity/nursing hoody I ordered for myself in the sale which is now in!
To do list is as follows - may add to this depending on energy levels:
1) DW unloaded ✓
2) DW reloaded
3) Wipe kitchen counter tops
4) Clean microwave (I started this after my porridge this morning but I can't get the stubborn greasy spots off; any tips? I tried heating some water in the microwave to get it all steamy and using cleaning spray but they're not budging!)
5) Put away clean washing
6) 2 loads of laundry
7) Sort through the three bags of baby bits my friend gave me and ? vacuum bag some bits
8) Pick up bits from town£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January11 -

Picked up the bits we had run out of in L!dl..
Collected a bag of Next stuff from DD1
My excellent Evri courier has been off/left and has been replaced with the utterly incompetent one who serves the village over and daily delivers parcels to the wrong address and leaves them in stupid places.
Boden however, I placed 3 orders in their sale. The first 2 were sent with evri and have been sat in their depot since the 28th Dec. When I placed this 3rd one I put a message on saying the last 2 had not yet been delivered and could they use a different courier. I got a lovely personal reply and they sent it with DPD and it is here.. That is customer service!! So if they are reading .. thank you!Cat trays need scoopingDW need to go onI need a laundry hunt about the hovelWet stuff needs hanging up.My tummy is empathising with Valli's (peppermint makes it 1000 times worse) and I am in discomfort (pain medication is fun) so not listed any gibble yet.. I WILL get it done.
Twinkles dance leotard has turned up.. finally..
I have a table to take to my mothers and a slide to take to DD1
I need the boxes out of the loft to put the tree away
