Evening all. I came home from work and promptly fell asleep in bed
so nothing done here at the moment. We're getting a takeaway for tea so once that's ordered I'll whip round the kitchen - I always find it easier to start when I know there's a definite finish (it's an ADHD thing!).
Sending hugs to you @Valli and @pigpen£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January12 -
Hi all
Survived the day, 7 hours paid stuff done in the office, one load of washing over the airer, hoovered through, changed our sheets, mince in sc first thing. Christmas tree and decs are back in the loft. DS1 is still here, still with flu like symptoms and passing blood when he goes to the loo (not entirely unexpected because he has a huge ulcer in his bowel but combined with feeling very unwell it needs checking out). Waiting for a call back from the hospital.
Sounds like things are improving Valli, let's hope next time you dont get this pain. And I am sorry to hear about Layla HB x
£4.89 spent at the supermarket and £50 of diesel put in the car. Both unavoidable.
It will be an early night I think, still dont feel 100% over this bug.13 -
Aww Honey Bear. Sad news but that doggie is going to have a better end than beginning to her life.
rang gp, receptionist spoke to doctor and I was added to call list. Script mailed to chemist, DD was off to the panto with ma so I asked pa to pick it up. At 1:15. Finally, just before 3 I asked him if he’d got it. Yes he had. He had taken it home. Theirs. !!!!!!. Tthen I asked him if he could bring it. Tablet taken at 3pm, just had my second. At least they took me seriously, but tbh I am holding back tears I feel so wretched.Have put washing in, primed DW, and am now in bed.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hi all x
I was quite busy today at work. I thought most places would have gone back today but it’s a bank holiday. It made my day go quicker though. My replacement had got her shift times mixed up so I ended up working an extra hour. Was walking home contemplating taking the tree down and could see it far enough. Came in OH had taken everything down, boxed everything up and put it all past. He’d even put the winterdyke up. So I’ve washed non stop and filled it up!
I’ve had a quick tidy round, made dinner, wudupa and now I’m shattered in my jammies.Valli hoping you are now pain free and able to get a decent rest xx
Piggers sil sounds like a right **** hope you’ve got everything sorted xx
HB that’s rotten news. Enjoy spending time with Layla. It’s heartbreaking when they go, I still miss Mr Mac xxxI'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged11 -
Valli I hope the latest meds work and you get a decent night's sleep.
HB sorry to hear your news, never easy.
Mr N, BIL and I had a good day in London yesterday with photographic exhibition, meal (including discount) and concert enjoyable.
This morning I did a gym swim but it was way too hot; everyone said so, not just my lake acclimatisation talking.
Checked and sent a report. Another started which leaves one more; I don't go back to uni till next Wed so need to get my wotsit into gear and get organised for another term.
Planned a marathon load of cooking but none worked terribly well; a combination of my temperamental GF flour, a temperamental range and me flitting in and out of rooms (watching the old Pink Panther film)......not all my fault but disheartening. The main course tasted ok; the lemon meringue pie (1st time I'd made one from scratch) was less ok with really horribly textured pastry (yet I made lovely gf veggie sausage rolls 2 days ago and the pastry was lovely) and the cake which is usually what I'm best at is definitely not fit to take to the friends we're visiting tomorrow. Plus all 3 of us, in 2 separate visits to town, forgot to get any more eggs so I can't start again. Especially annoying as I made the mandarin and lemon cake specifically to use up the fruit. I may try to get up early and make biscuits, which don't need eggs........still I mustn't go to bed grumpy, but I do hate wasting ingredients and fuel. Expect the cake will be ok for Mr N and I.
Various bits of flying happening amidst 'entertaining' BIL.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.12 -
Gentle (((hugs))) to you, Valli - fingers crossed that you get a decent night's sleep xx
Pigpen, I'm sure you know deep down that if you couldn't go near S-i-L last weekend because of your own vulnerability, you really shouldn't be going near M-i-L now. I do hope that she gets better quickly and that social services can arrange for a competent carer xx
YL, GWS to your DS.
Today I have decluttered another visit to the GP nurse and emailed photos to the wound clinic at the horse piddle so that they can keep an eye on me from afar too. I have taken down some more of the Christmas decorations, but my tree will stay up until Twelfth Night. And I spent an hour on the phone this evening listening to an old friend talking about all the holidays that she and her DH had in 2022 or have already booked for this year (not that I'm the slightest bit jealous, of course). And I tried to re-order my meds but one is missing off the online system - that will entail a phonecall to the surgery in the morning.10 -

Hopefully she will be tummy bug free by Sunday, these things don't usually last long do they? If she is still not well OH and I will go and take the girls another day.. Perks of having adult children! There is always someone willing to babysit in an emergency
Dot still awake.. the other 3 have finally gone o sleep in the last hour.I don't see any of them being up on time for school tomorrow!
We have CS bags to drop off after dropping off the girls in the morning. I have a nail appointment at 10.. and I need to order prescriptions when I get back.
My other aim (shoulder dependent) is putting 5 items on V!nted.. you need to see the boxes! I will see if I can remember to take a pic.. there is so much stuff I need to shift.. and when I have done these I need to put coats on to sell.. I was VERY ruthless in my cupboard sorting. I am hoping to have £950 by the end of May. I may have a selling challenge this month.. I have lots of stuff to pay off this year (over £6500!!!)
Aiming for £200 in January.. because people are skint so not setting my goal too high.. I might go back to ebeast too.. stuff sells better on there, V!nted buyers want everything for nothing.

Oh this is MUCH better. I’ve woken up (as I always do) but have only slight aches instead of pains. Taken another tablet, been to loo, switched on charger for vacuum battery and am now nestled back in bed.Never even heard DD get her bath.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
