Morning All
Valli I hope you feel better today lovely x
Raining here and set in for the day. Nowhere to go so I will list some bits on eBay, aiming for £75 this week. DD got some face masks for Christmas so we will have a pamper afternoon I think. Will get the dogs out for a run on the fields as well to hopefully tire them out a bit.
Take care all xx13 -
I think (hope, pray and would sell my soul to the devil right now if this was a thing) that the pain is easing…I came to bed at 8:30 ish and have only woken 3 times, the pain is now in my knees only and is almost bearable. I’ve taken parrots (as they were to hand). I’m almost out of OTC pain killers…it has been tough though, possibly the worst so far. Fingers crossed that next time will be less painful.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Valli, hugs, OH had a 'red 'card' to ring when this sort of thing happened to him, a 24 hour service, and they were great, do you have the same sort of thing? please ring your treatment nurse and get some advise xxKitchen sortedCats fedBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Yes… I rang them very early yesterday morning, that’s when I was told I could take ibuprofen, which I did. I was also told I could go to the GP for a codeine prescription but of course yesterday was a BH…
I was also advised I could soak in a bath…but given my recent shoulder injury I decided that might be too challenging (getting in and out safely).
I’ve just been downstairs to top up my hot water bottle, so I shoved a load into the WM and put what was in there in the TD, DD had put a wash load through. I thought that a bit of TLC and heat might further ease my knees. So…actual flying!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hope you are resting and continue to feel a bit better Valli xx
I fell back to sleep this morning and awoke at 8.45! Must have needed it. Pouring with rain still. The kitchen fire is lit, beds have been made and the WM has just finished. Children watching a film. When I have posted this I will list three bits on ebay.
Can safely declare this NSD 3/31.

I somehow managed to hurt my shoulder yesterday trying to find some space in my room.. I knew 2 consecutive days was ambitious and I only did an hour or 2 yesterday!
DD1 almost set her house on fire with a bank card lodged in the dryer!
I'm going on a medication hunt.. Do you want some Valli? I have a bit of everything! Can you try the voltarol gel stuff? you can get it OTC.. GP isn't even worth trying any more.
OH back at work today and the gremlins back at school tomorrow.. They can sort their bags today, I am not doing it.
Nail appointment tomorrow and OH can get the tree boxes from the loft and I will put that away while they are at school on Friday.. I would do it Sunday but he is still wittering about going to his mothers.. I just want a day off and let the children slob about.. it seems unfair to make them be busy every day to placate other people .. but just more mean to me.. I'm not sure sitting in the car for 4 hours will do my shoulder any good. I need it supported and we dont have arm rests in the car.. it needs a sling lol.
Loo run..
Then feed the grubs.. though they are feeding each other apparently.. I will make a cuppa and supervise..
WM, TD, DW and another suppa might be necessary..
I need to get flea and worm stuff for the mogs.. I think Nutkin is infested again.. goodnss knows where he gets them!.. He is currently bouncing about like a lamb mewing to himself.. nutty nutkin!
I need someone to vacuum the landings because I can't.
Someone to poop scoop.. again, I can't.
and the recycling needs putting out.
ooh delivery.. lets hope I have keys

Afternoon all
return to work has not proved as bad as I was dreading so far, although I’m struggling a bit with concentration!
rain has briefly stopped so I’m going to whiz out and empty the bins and have a quick walk. Wm has run so must put on airer, will also do dailies while I have a break for lunch. Perhaps a bit of activity will help get my brain in gear!Back later x12 -

A few days before Christmas we had some bad news about the dog which, for various reasons, I've posted about elsethread so I thought I'd better put something here as well. We probably won't have her by Easter, so we're making the most of the time we've got and keeping her as painfree as possible. Fortunately I changed vets a couple of months ago, so when we realised her intermittent but persistent limp wasn't getting better we took her there. They've been absolutely marvellous, she's insured (thank goodness) and we have a definitive prognosis even though the diagnosis hasn't been fully confirmed. It doesn't need to be, we have enough information so further tests are superfluous. I have a cupboard full of dog pain relief. I sometimes think with the right vets animals get a better time of it than humans. All that, partially to say, I've had to go to Morribunds to get some more supplies for Layla, and while I was there I spied something additional for Belovéd's birthday on Friday, so I forgive myself for buying the latter, but the former was an essential. Other than that, I bought fruit and veg while I was there because it's cheaper than the Co-op at the bottom of the road. No extras though so it wasn't a No Spend Day but it was as minimal as I could make it.I've been awake since 4.30am fretting about the dog, up since 6.00 (which is most unlike me) and running around after her from about 10.00 so she and I are now taking it easy. Belovéd and I changed the superking, so I can sort laundry tomorrow to take to the laundrette on Thursday, and I'll finish slicing, chopping and freezing the chicken we use to give Layla her meds tomorrow as well.Valli have you tried Ibuprofen gel? I found that worked wonders when my back was really bothering me and I forgot to mention it as a possible addition to the armoury of pain meds that can be combined. I hope you are feeling a lot better than you were when you first mentioned it, and that you can stay painfree once you've found the right combination.Better is good enough.10

SIL rang a hysterical mess.. MIL is poorly.. sounds like she has the bug SIL had at the weekend which was the reason we didn't go.. but she is barely eating and sounds very frail.. I'm not certain we will have her by easter either.. SIL is being ridiculous and MIL really needs to be in a home where she can have adequate care and help and company.. SIL admitted she cannot cope so I will be on the phone to adult services tomorrow once the manic morning is dealt with.. I am really cross.. I KNEW this would happen.. and if MIL pops her clogs in the meantime it is totally on SIL's head.. entirely! She wasn't even giving the medical services the correct date of birth! I am raging.. I am very tempted to drop the girls at school and go there.. older ones can collect them.. just so I can get a guage of the situation and kick some arris...
