pigpen said:HB.. Layla is not 'just a dog' She is loved and cherished and a furry family member. Please don't ever feel you shouldn't share because 'others have serious stuff going on' Our problems are equally important as much a our celebrations and we want to support you the same as everyone else.. I offload everything here pretty much because it is a safe space. if people scroll by that's fine too. Having recently lost Hazel I can say I understand and I wouldn't want you to go through that without us. ((((hugs))))
I have pegged out washing, mainly bedding, so that’s had a good blow. I also cleaned the bunnies hutch and put the emergency chairs back in the shed (in the house since Christmas Day…I was waiting for a dry day initially. I’ve ironed the 3 items that haven’t dried properly so they can air. I used my hospital bag when I went to my sister’s so that needs restocking with the pjs which are airing, the flannels my friend bought me (2 different colours for top & tail purposes) which still need washing and sundry other items. The thinking is if I have a bag ready I won’t ever actually need it.
Im now having a rest, on my bed so I can stretch out, and I might see how Mrs Harris has done with her dress savings (saw the film advertised so I asked for the book).

Very very briefly checking in to report a spend of £5.25 in the chazza 🙄🙄🙄 in fairness they are brand new footie boots for DS still with the £55 tag on them. And they are a need, but still 🤣 no money spent otherwise though.
So still at 3/31 NSDs. Piggers - would you recommend Vinted for high street brand kids stuff to sell?
Love, carrot cake, wine and cosy PJ vibes to you all. You’re all utterly ace xxx12 -
Thank you everyone. I know she's not 'just a dog' but I can understand why some people would think that when they're just reading along and not someone we have a relationship with, which is why I put it in inverted commas. I also didn't want to put a downer on here on 20 December which is when I took the 'phone call after several £££ investigations - I'll say it again, thank goodness she's insured. I've also been through this five times now in 15 years because of adopting Oldies, although she was younger and we'd hoped her time with us would be around the 10 year mark. Honey Bear and Kelpie are still very much missed.I'm glad your day improved Round and you've been motivated to get stuff done.I did eight of the things on my listie for today, it's not that the others don't need doing but I have to be realistic about what I can manage while my body slowly slowly slowly heals the damage done to the muscles when I broke my ankle. They will have to wait until Friday.Belovéd wants M&S goodies for his birthday meal on Friday so we'll be walking up there tomorrow evening on his way to the pub to watch his footie team and I'll be walking back with said goodies. That walk on top of the Foodbank and laundrette tomorrow will be just a bit too much but needs must so I'm not pushing myself today. I've made this for tonight, and using Jamie's version and watching his video rather than the version on the side of the pastry box made it much easier and more straightforward than the usual faff of filo pastry. I hope it tastes as good as it sounds because I'd defo do it again, and it would be great for vegetarians too.Better is good enough.10

Hi all x
Dentist phoned to see if I could go in early. I left straight away the quicker it’s was over and done the better. New dentist is about 12 yrs old but really nice and I now have the fillings replaced that came out. Impressions taken and 3 more appointments made but on the up side I’ll be finished before I ho on my jollies.Trip to Mr Ts on the way home loads of steak pies less than half price and suitable for freezing so I have 4 in the freezer they’ll do Sunday dinners. I’ve lobbed my bedding in the TD and loaded the WM with my big coat while OH phoned a takeaway.Off to find jammies to put on and lie on the couch.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged11 -
The best news today is knowing Valli is a bit more comfortable, lets hope it stays that way. And Funfair your dental problems sound like a nightmare.
I wont repeat what everyone has said HB but I sort of think the pets are part of the Flylady family, so no need to apologise.
Good day here, induction with new member of staff which went really well. Still feel a bit fluey when it gets to this time of day though. Taking it steady, not much flying done but everyone is fed and the kitchen is clean and tidy-ish.
The hospital still havent rung, but DS is up and dressed and looks a little better, thank you for the kind words. I will be happier when he has had some professional advice.
Oh and Round what goes around comes around as they say, you lot are my life support system xx13 -
Aaarrrgggghhhh!!!
My car needs a genuine Ford part that Ford no longer manufacture. Garage are going to try and source one at scrapyard or online. In the meantime I've been shown what to jiggle and been told that I have to be quite rough with it. Ring in a couple of weeks to see if they've found one.
On a positive note the second bowl full of pots has been WUDUPA.

GWS wishes for your DS, YL, hopefully you have had some contact and advice now x
Oh, and Pigpen, I know you don’t do them but have a virtual hug x
First day back at work has been faced. My desk has sunk under paper and to-do’s, and it is only day 2 of the new working year. Nobody knows what the new starter is supposed to be doing. Creaming off the good bits, is the general suspicion…
Veggie chilli was done in the sc when I got home, kitchen has been tidied, QHI, clean washing sorted. Wm loaded for the morning. Not a lot of flying really.10 -
The rather embarrassing chemo side effect has now come into play…I dare not be anywhere near a naked flame
if I were a male I’d be revelling in this new-found skill. Hot water bottle on tummy for a little relief.
DW stacked, WM primed. Rubbish taken out to bin, recycling likewise. Kitchen tidied. We are almost out of milk but DD has a cold and I cba to traipse out.

Sorry Valli, but that did make me snigger and there's not much to laugh about with what you're going through.Better is good enough.10
