oh @Coxy11 that’s bad luck! Hope you don’t feel too bad with it. DH has had a heavy cold, sore throat and cough but he’s not got it thankfully. Dare I say, maybe it’ll be a quieter, more peaceful Christmas. Hope you find a way to enjoy  :*

Thanks charly and coxy, its white felt on the back, think the photos don't quite show the browns along some of the edges but I think I will leave them alone this year and see how they are next year.

  • Gorgeous cards everyone.

Christmas has lasted forever here. I started with a niggly tooth on Friday, which of course by Christmas Eve was quite clearly worse. So will be on the phone to the dentist tomorrow at 8.30 (fingers crossed they are open!) As I am in quite a lot of pain atm. Have a feeling I will end up needing a root canal treatment.

Only plus is that I haven't been able to overeat all the chocolate 😬

So my nice relaxing time off has been spent in agony and a bit off my face on codeine! Typical.

    Hi everyone,

Sorry to hear about your tooth @Drawingaline that is rotten luck. Let's hope the dentist can see you today as an emergency xx

I now have a niggly cough which is waking me up, and still sinus-y. Will do another test later today. I have been out for a walk the last 3 days to blow away the cobwebs. Luckily I'm off work until Tuesday and we have no plans apart from hosting NYE. I will enjoy the down time.

No crafting gifts for me this year, which I'm glad about as I have too much stash and barely did anything this year. I'm still thinking of my plans for makes in 2024 and will start the new thread tomorrow I think, so stay tuned everyone!

  • Lovely Christmas cards everyone. Got back into cross stitching in last 6 months after not stitching for about 5 years.
Hope to post more in new year.
    A small finish from me.

Just found my list for this year, really wish i'd completed seascape, 2024 is the year!!!!!

    My list for 2023:
    1. Complete Seascape Cross Stitch Kit (Almost half completed)
    2. Crochet a jumper, i have the wool and completed one before but ruined it in the washing machine (found a pattern, not started)
    3. Continue using my wool up (think i have more wool now, lol)
    4. Make as many cards as possible (made birthday and a few christmas cards for those that appreciate them)

That's lovely madquilter, samplers never appealed to me, and then I did one in November and loved how quick and easy it was to stitch up. May try some others at some point.

Still suffering with my tooth, got to the dentist who said it had been bashed/Jarred in some way 🤷 only thing I can think of is I have begun to clench my teeth in my sleep (I wake with a sore jaw) and have basically done this to myself 🤦😔 he said it should get better on its own, x-ray didn't show any infection, just lots of inflammation in the gum and the nerves are all inflamed hence the pain. It has eased a bit today, he said it could take a couple of weeks to get back to normal. Typical it happens when I am off work!
