    Hi everyone,

Good to see some of the cards are arriving. I always like to see the different designs that people choose each year J

I have started my new job – 10 days in now. It’s going to take me a while to adjust to being in the office 5 days a week I think, and DH is missing me. He’s suggested we get a dog which I think is a bit extreme!

So far I’ve had many meet and greets with other administrators and everyone seems to have been with the NHS for many years. I share an office with 5/6 others and my desk is right by the open door which is a bit rubbish. On the plus side, the bus gets me here in c.20 minutes and home slightly quicker, so that’s a massive win. I’m saving around 1.5 hours a day at the moment.

I have been invited to Christmas drinks with my old team next Tuesday in London, so will go home first to change – will probably be there around 7pm.

In terms of totting up what I’ve finished craft-wise this year, it’s a very short list! I wanted to frame the PL series and managed that last month. The Haberdashery Shop is around 1/3 done – I haven’t picked it up for weeks as haven’t had the inclination as too pooped after dinner. The Rudolph Sampler finished in Sept 2021 is still to frame. I may get that one done professionally – we are passing the framers on Sunday so will check if it’s open.

I’m now starting to think of what I can realistically get done for next year. Would love to finish Haberdashery Shop but need some small wins to do along the way. I have almost finished the granny squares for the slipover – just a couple of half squares to do now. Then it’s the neckline, arm holes and waistband to do plus joining it all together. I may take a look at that tonight to see what’s required.

I’ll set up the new café during Christmas and New Year as I’m off work for those 3 days.

Hope everyone’s doing okay. I know this time of year is hard for some of us emotionally and financially. Make sure you practice some self-care if needed – nice bubble bath, hunker down with a movie and a hot choc, get some Vitamin C to ward off those pesky cold bugs etc.

    Take care all

    Coxy xx

Lovely update coxy, glad you are settling in at your new job, 20 mins bus ride a definite win. You've completed loads this year, be proud of yourself, granny square slipover sounds great pictures when done :) Take care everyone especially if you have icy weather.

  • finished off my two pieces that are presents. The cat hanging is for my daughter for xmas. The framed landscape is for my mum, probably for her birthday which is mid January. Really happy how these have come out. Well worth the effort. I have also framed some more of my finished pieces will pop pictures up later.
