They look amazing DaL as does my beautiful Angel which arrived during the week. My photo doesn’t do it justice we’ve had such poor light. I’ve added it my exchange collection. It’s a lovely tradition.
Mine is now on its way. Although it was nearly done and I DID take care NMM, I slipped on the ice a couple of weeks ago and put both hands out to break my fall. Thought I’d only damaged my pride but my right hand and arm swelled up and was uncomfortable for over a week. Strength and dexterity slowly returning! Will post my list for 2023 when I can.
Coxy will look forward to the shiny new cafe for next year. Thanks. What a year it’s been. Hope you’re settling into new role. It’s not easy to change even when there are lots of pluses like the journey time. All things considered you’ve had some big wins to celebrate.
it’s been lovely seeing all the TaDas, joy and positivity in my inbox.

    Morning all!

Loving all the cards and great finishes @Drawingaline 😊

Thank you @daisy_1571 for my 2 cards - one stitched, one regular - very much appreciated. The stitched one will join my collection that come out each year!

New job is going okay…pace a bit slower than I’m used to but will hopefully pick up a bit in the new year. I finish on Friday and am lucky to be off in between Christmas and New Year.

I’ve finished all the crochet squares for the slipover so will be joining those together over the holidays. The base colour is khaki so I need the light as it’s hard working with darker yarn.

New cafe will be up next week sometime so look out for it and prepare your list of makes for the year. Hopefully next year I’ll get some more stash busted and finish a few WIPs!

    Have a great Christmas everyone

DaL really did appreciate the detail on the Angel, especially the backstitch, my nemesis. It sits proudly with my collection now. Will try to photo today. This morning is forecast to be dry.

I've just noticed the date on these.  First one is 93, second one is 94.  I had forgotten i must have done these over 2 years.  I do remember they took quite a long time considering they look simple but of course we know how long hand made things take and I was working full time then too.

They were given as a gift to my mil and fil who displayed them in a house with living flame gas fire and they both smoked.  I took them back when we broke the house up 9 years ago and they go out every year for us too.

Looking closely at them, I cant believe when I first did them I was a bit embarrassed that they were rubbish lol!  Anyway,  they are definitely showing signs of dirt, possibly nicotine,  possibly the gas fire.  They have stitched felt on the back covering the back and attaching to the bell pull things.  Should I dismantle them and try to give them a gentle wash do you think?  Or just embrace the fact they ain't in their first flush of youth any more?

Hi Daisy how lovely you took these back. They are eye-catching. The designs are deceptively simple and minimalist but look at all that backstitch and now you get to enjoy them and appreciate your work. If they don’t smell I would be inclined to leave them, the photos don’t make them look dirty. It does depend what colour the felt is too, if it’s cream or white a gentle wash could work, if it’s dark could be a bit risky! I need to stitch dates on my things I think!

Agree with @Charly27 that they look lovely @daisy_1571 and I wouldn't wash unless absolutely necessary x

I am Covid positive !! Heavy cold symptoms since Tuesday so I tested last night and got two strong lines. All pre-Christmas visiting and hosting duties cancelled as can't risk the oldies getting sick (especially my Mum who is anti-vaxx......)
