OOOOh I nearly lost you all!
The tail end of 2022 kept me a busy little bee, but if I could just sneak in round the back, down the canal path at the back of the village haul, I promise to bring a cake to share.
No coupons spent for 2023 so far BUT I did have a jolly good turn up for the books and won a giveaway from my favourite indie dungaree brand (yes I'm still hyperfixated there currently) and have a new pair on their way to me this week as my prize.Wealth is not measured by currency8 -

Welcome back @CAFCGirl. Congratulations on your prize! I hope that you will love them. (NB: Prize = no coupons.)
I'd assumed you were away on war work, so forgot to let you know that they changed the keys to the Village Hall at the end of December. Here's a new set for you.

Hi @frostie101. I didn't see you, sitting in your corner of the Village Hall. Please come closer to the fire and tell us all about yourself. Do you craft? Or bake? Cup of tea?
We're a mixed bunch here, in Much Mending On the Borrow, but we do like to chat.

I need and I mean really need new nighties but my dear, the coupon cost! So I’ve dug out the sewing machine and found some brushed cotton so a warm winter nightie is being constructed. I don’t like pyjamas which would be easier but I wish I could find a nightie pattern that isn’t too grannyish. It’s ok for the nightie I’m making at the moment which is intended for very cold nights but I know DH will describe it as a passion killer!
Not that it will stop him sidling across to warm his cold hands on me!, 😂It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!8 -
My 3 metres of corduroy fabric ordered last year has arrived so no coupons from this year used. It has been washed and needs to be ironed before I pattern cut. I need a winter weight dress for work but if the pattern looks good I will be spending coupons on navy crepe for the same dress.
oh and I made a rice pudding using some surplus milk from my farmer friend.6 -

I love tea and cake at any time of day, I'm always available for a cuppa and a chat.
I do sew a little but currently unable at the moment as I have a frozen shoulder!
Hence ordering pj's and not making them.
I usually also make birthday cards for family and friends.
Trying to live a more frugal and sustainable life.

@Maryb and @MrsCatz good luck with your sewing.
@frostie101 sorry to hear about your frozen shoulder. Hopefully something can be done to ease it.
I’m currently procrastinating about my knitting. I may have mentioned that the Sandrine pattern is very badly written. If you follow the instructions for the yoke - it’s top down - you’ll end up with the wrong number of stitches on the shoulders and on the fronts. Well, having reached the point where I’ve divided for the sleeves - row 96 by my calculations - I’ve decided that instead of fudging it, I really need to rip back to row 64 and correct the increases, so that I don’t have half-width ribbed sections along the “seams”, too many stitches on the back, etc.
I know that if I don’t fix it, it’ll annoy me forever and I won’t wear the finished jumper. It’s just the faff that is discouraging me.
<Deep breath>.
Here goes.

Hi all,
@wit40iwtwan I don't have a large stash of fabric or yarn but I do have quite a lot of other craft stuff. I know some people sell stuff on ravelry(?) and various other sites but I don't think you can claim coupons back. You could try swapping stuff I suppose so you could get something you are more likely to use but I don't know how you would do that. If you used the money from any sales to buy stuff from ravelry or other sites or the cs that would be coupon free as it is 2nd hand. Good luck
Take care everyone5
