We're still wading through boxes of stuff from Mam and Dad! Today we found both their 21st birthday cards. Considering they were both 80+ the cards are vintage! It's lovely to see how cards have changed over the years, but we just can't keep everything. We decided to keep the really special ones, like the 21sts and the pearl and ruby anniversary cards. We have until the end of the month.....2025 Fashion on the ration

Gosh, @MrsCD what a challenge for you... I hope you're still able to have 'time off' even if it's only half an hour to sit in the garden or a local park and enjoy the birdsong, or go for a frothy coffee with all the daft trimmings, or suchlike...
Had your parents met by their 21sts, or did they each individually keep their cards?
Mr E and I giggle happily every card-day as we each really liked the card given by the other for our first Xmas and first birthdays together, so we just kept those and bring them back out again each year! They'll be starting their ninth year this winter! And for Valentine's Day we enjoy spotting the most ghastly things available or ludicrously expensive offers, and we 'give' each other the giggling fit inspired by seeing the bizarre and atrocious things some people think are romantic!
We are the people that marketing executives wake up sweating about...

Yes, @Laura_Elsewhere my parents were married by then and I was a baby. My dad had to do his National Service and he spent his 21st in the far East.
One year, more recently, when Dad was in hospital he couldn't buy an anniversary card for Mam, and wouldn't let me buy one for him, so they both wrote to each other in the card she bought! We found that one to keep. We've also found boxes of cards from our daughters to them, so we've taken loads of photos, and kept one or two with very young writing in.😊

More vests. I took a risk on eBay and got three unused, still in the bags, merino wool and silk vests for £22.99 with postage. Two are short sleeved and one sleeveless. They are lovely and soft.
No points.
The CC41 Utility Clothing box of Irish Linen handkerchiefs contained four instead of three, and they were all stamped with a tiny CC41 mark.
I have informed the seller in case he wants an extra 33p. I wonder why these were never used?6 -

Regarding cards: Having recently lost close family members, at Christmas and Easter I got an old card (s) that I had received back out and put them on display with the newly acquired cards. I will do the same when my birthday comes around.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

I had a few 'finds' at a car boot sale so no coupons but I now have a French Connection cardigan, a pashmina, a big Sloppy Joe-style mid blue jumper and a couple of items for my grand daughter.
The other day I got a few items in a charity shop that doesn't have a fitting room, and from those I have two to return and a top to keep.
I've identified a couple of items to go.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
