Ooh, you people have done well! Those embroidered hankies are very pretty, @Nelliegrace.

So have I: I found white trainers in a charity shop today. I've been wanting some to wear with skirts this summer - the most sensible fashion combination I've seen in a long time (IMHO). What's more they are a comfortable fit (I'm another with tricky feet).

£3.99 spent, and no coupons.

@diminua, my sympathies for your funeral worries- I still remember our struggles when my sister died suddenly in a heatwave- it really was difficult trying to find funeral blacks in a hurry in lightweight fabrics. I’ve made sure ever since that I have something suitable just in case… I hope all goes well on the day for you all.

@PollyWollyDoodle and @Gem-gem - if offered, I am definitely taking the sedation. Having witnessed a few endoscopies when I was nursing, I know what’s coming and want to be unconscious, if possible. The letter arrived on Saturday: my appointment is on 27th June. I’ve told DH that he has to accompany me.

Yes, I knew that stomach ulcers are caused by microbes but, at the moment, I have not been prescribed antibiotics, because I had no major precursor symptoms. We’ll see….

@Laura_Elsewhere on the odd occasion that I’ve bought a t-shirt, I’ve always counted it at 5 coupons. However if the consensus is 4 coupons, then I’ll list them at 4 coupons in the first post.

All: is the consensus that a t-shirt is 4 coupons? (Please respond.)

ETA: Laura, lymphoedema is the “great unmentioned” when it comes to cancer surgeries and radiotherapy. I only learned about its prevalence when working as a staff nurse in Radiotherapy. It makes logical sense that if you remove/irradiate some lymph nodes, of course the fluid has to go somewhere, but it never seems to get talked about beforehand. Hope MrE doesn’t have it too badly and can manage it with compression stockings.
