My DH works is a manager of a supermarket so I've sent him to work with a £20 note to change into £2 coins for me. We don't really spend with cash so getting them the conventional way is not going to work for me. Although we have got a £50 each cash allowance for those impulse buys that we each want rather than need.
So my plan is get £20 changed with DH every month and anything I don't spend out of my £50 a month will also be changed into £2 coins.
Not actually going to declare the £20 for today until he comes home from work with the goods. He is known for his forgetfulness.2 -
DH came through for me that's another £20 added to the pot.

Welcome BlueJ94. Great to have you along for the challenge. You are number 16
.
Well done on getting debt free by the end of this month. That will feel amazing for you.
Enjoy finding those lovely £2 coins. And do let us know how you are getting on, particularly if you get a patterned ones, i.e. Shakespeare, Darwin, the DNA helix - there are so many designs out there!
My corner shop knows I collect and save them, so often give them to me in my change without me having to ask. Some self service checkouts have them and I always ask checkout staff if they have any. Friends and family are also extremely helpful in getting some.
Very best wishes
