Hi, please sign me up for this year!  I gained one in my change at the bar last night - after midnight so I am starting with £2!
£300 target please. I will bank them along the way - various spends - Christmas, decorating or anyhting else that crops up where extra cash might be needed!
    Good luck everyone!

I also do quite well at Mr T's.  I usually pay cash for most things to keep a tight rein on my budget
I am going to do this - go back to cash spending, partially to gain those £2 coins..... and also to keep a true eye on my budget, it's so easy to 'forget' what I spend when I swipe a card.
To those who are given much, much is expected

        £2025 in 2025 = £680.60
          Food Budget £180/9.30.

I've decided! My collection will go to buy a 5 string fretless bass! Never played fretless so could be a challenge!
That sounds like an excellent plan RobM99.  Good luck with finding those £2 coins

You are number 14 this year and I've added your target of £300 for you.

Well done on getting off the mark so quickly  :D - I've yet to get started (a NSD day today and with the corner shop shut, no chance of getting any when cashing in my winning lottery ticket (not enough 0000's to be life changing unfortunately).

            Good luck for 2023!

Totally agree sams247.  Money disappears from my account so quickly when I don't run with cash.

Of course, one problem with hunting for £2 coins is that getting your hands on them reduces your available cash to spend, so I keep an extra £20 at home to replenish the food shop money - just in case  :)

Thank you claremylove, I was chuffed with that! And thank you for my new number - I've updated my signature and am ready to get collecting again! Managed to have a no-spend day today but will be making even more of a conscious effort than last year to use cash and track down as many of those little beauties as possible for my tin! xxx

            May I join in again?
Now my lads understand a £2 coin brings a special glee, they’re helping hunt! Last year’s stash will go towards house deposit for Middleson, this year’s towards youngest going to Uni… [Every little helps!] No particular target other than 2:1 plain to pretty, & no inhibitions about asking when in banks & post offices.
          7. Of course you can join again DigForVictory, and welcome back  .  You are number 15 this year.

It is so much easier when others know you collect £2 coins isn't it?  The totals soon add up.  Not sure what I'm putting last year's money to yet.  I usually put everything in premium bonds but need some more dental work done so will probably pop it into that savings account which I'm just about to open up.

Having had my pay rise in December, I need to re-evaluate what I'm putting into my savings pots - everything is getting more expensive so it's back to the bank statements to go through what things actually cost me over the past 12 months.  Mind you, having some money put aside is such a relief as, not that many years ago, I was robbing Peter to pay Paul every single month.  I will assign my back pay to the relevant pots that need the greatest top up!

Please let us know how you are getting on with your 2:1 pretty to plain finds - pretty much all of mine last year were plain but they all count
