Hey everyone,
Welcome to the Payment A Day - Chapter 2023 challenge! (this will start from 1 January 2023)
We've decided to start a new thread challenge each year as the last one by Kirstypoos for Payment a Day Chapter 18 was over 1,150 pages long and spanned nearly 6 years 😳👏🏾! If you want to see that one for inspiration, check it out here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5590353/payment-a-day-chapter-18/p1, and it follows the principles of the thread originally started by Emily Hallett (we alway give credit where credit is due 😁).
But what is Payment A Day (PAD) and what is included?
Well... the idea is that you make any extra payment a day towards your debts or savings, to either clear your debt quicker or build your savings at a faster rate. There is no minimum amount, you could PAD anything from £0.01 to £1,000s, as it just depends on your individual budget, targets and circumstances. Some of us PAD everyday, some sporadically and some save their PADs to make targeted payments once a month. You can PAD your minimum payments, additional payments, mortgage payments, sinking funds, savings challenges, it really is down to you, the only rule is that you post your PADs so we can share and celebrate your achievements.
How do I join and do I need a number?
Everyone's welcome and you can join at any time in the year, and no challenge number/identifier is needed, just pop along as it's never too late to start PADding. We're a friendly bunch, if slightly addicted to PADding (if you know, you know 😉) and if you ever need any advice or inspiration, you'll be sure that one of us can help you.
What is a counter upper?
To help us stay motivated, each month we have someone counting up each day's total (hence the name counter upper) and they declare the total for each month then pass the baton onto a new counter upper. To help the counter upper keep track of everything, please declare your PAD in bold.
🎉 PADding Power 🎉
In 2022, we were on 🔥 and our total PAD was
