That is exactly how I see PADding SF.
The vast majority of my PADs are low value but once the habit is established they really do add up into something worthwhile

Hi I hope you don’t mind me popping in. Last year we paid off our mortgage thanks to FIL and MIL (who is no longer with us) and this freed up money monthly we used to pay off debt so ended 2022 debt free 🎉🎉

so technically we have a lot of money spare which I’m sure as you all know can be easily frittered away in a household if 5 plus pets.

with no debt I feel like my financial focus could quite easily slip this year so we have set up a few savings plans. Hubby has a help to save account, we have a savings account each with 5% upto a certain amount and an account which is technically savings but short term so used if something comes along and I haven’t enough in spends account which I have an amount go to each month and my double up round ups goes to it.

so I’m thinking for this challenge I might round down the spends account and send to empty account for a particular savings item….I’ve got my eye on wanting a new front door this year so maybe that? Not sure I’ll do every day tbh but maybe at least once a week and see how I get on maybe?
Sorry for your losses, but fantastic that you are now debt free and figuring out how to plan your financial future xx
