The pastry lattice thingummy looks like a plastic version of the tool they used on eldest's skin graft as latticed it covered a bigger area.
Says she heading swiftly for the Cointreau (which has always been a household "pour over the icecream" (for grownups) & m'father even tried over a choc-ice. Never thought to add to hot chocolate, but oooh! That icecream looks glorious, before I go near a margarita! (oh happy memories: who nicked my kneecaps?...).
I haven't bought anything recently mostly as I've been visiting relatives, but I did dive into a charity shop (having phoned ahead first) to drop off another 4 bags (I lugged an entire boot load south, forgot the lot & drove it all back again. Ahem.)5 -
@Brie, there wasn't one that absolutely stood out. There are lots close together in the town centre so you don't have to go far. I'm afraid I lost track of which was which though I noticed the Oxfam seemed more about Oxfam goods than second hand things.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Honestly Brie, try it. Bit of Tia Maria in a glass with maybe 2 or 3 times as much orange juice. It's a filthy mucky colour, but it tastes delishI'm unsure about my spine, I think it's holding me back.4

I had no idea that almost all of us delighted in Cointreau as well as Charity Shops, could there be something in the alliteration perhaps? I also have a small (ahem) bottle of Tia Maria as I like a dash in my bedtime hot drink but shan't be trying the orange juice suggestion because I'm another who abhors choccy oranges.
@DigForVictory - you're not wrong - I recall seeing a plastic surgeon in a tv programme many years ago who explained that the lattice cutters used on skin grafts had been inspired by his seeing his wife making a pie at home and realising that because skin grows to fill in gaps the technique could be applied to grafts. He had the metal sort with the winding handle that he'd bought from a catering supplier.
In other news the garlic press I bought the other day broke at the hinge yesterday so that went straight into the bin, however this does mean that I now have a little space in that drawer that needs filling!5 -
Eek, @goldfinches - will I ever look at a lattice cutter the same way again?
On the other hand - ingenious.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
