OMG….that ‘Prada’ bag is sssooooo fake! Plastic splitting and peeling! Stitching just off. I do hope nobody falls for this scam. £50 for a fake/replica in poor condition!!! Anyhoo, both Bedale and Woodfield booties cancelled today I believe due to this wonky weather! Ended up wandering around EBay and spending too much on conservatory furniture!
Actually managed to find the Yorkshire Cancer Shop open for once in Northallerton…some nice stuff but nothing that suited me.Sue Ryder had a nice set of Stella pans but a bit bashed and overpriced at £50 I thought!6 -
It sounds bad - I hadn't looked close up.
I'm glad they cancelled the car boots - even if the weather has been pretty good for October.
Sorry about Sue Ryder. I had the best of it yesterday!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Cherryfudge said:A happy find in Sue Ryder today: Le Creuset frying pan for £10. Currently £101 online and that's with 30% off.
Shame I'm making soup tonight.
I have been in a bit of a feast and famine cycle with CS of late. We had a trip to Shropshire and I bought in Shrewsbury, where they have lots of lovely CS:
white Next shirt with an oversized breast pocket £1.
white leather Lacoste trainers £5. My current ones (also CS) which I wear all the time in summer are getting a bit tatty so chuffed to find replacements.
A Tu blue and white striped tote bag with 3 separate compartments £3.
We were briefly in Wellington which has tons of CS but only had time to visit a couple. I did manage to find a Next black leather blazer style jacket for £2 in need of a bit of TLC.
Back home:
Red Escalade Sport widish leg joggers £4
Blue Mango military jacket £4
Black velvet Joanna Hope draped jacket £10
Blue and White Seasalt cowl neck long sleeved top which looked new £10.
Another huge pile to donate is building up in the spare room.
I’m finding more and more that I prefer localised CS to the chains.10 -
You've done very nicely there, @Potternerd. Thanks for the tip about Shrewsbury: we are visiting there soon so I'll be sure to take my pocket money!
I just had a thought - it we all lived near enough - how well we'd all do out of a swap-meet!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Chazzer finds yesterday: a champagne stopper for 50p (totally unnecessary as most fizzy wines come with suitable stoppers these days, but I can see the use should someone potentially gift me expensive champers that comes with a cork), a chemistry set for £1.50, and a generous bunch of plant stakes / labellers for £1.
Chazzer 2: a blouse, 3 scarves, an Ikea serviette holder that I don't need and one more item that I can't even remember for £5. Which tells you just how addicted I am to the bargain-factor that is the chaz. I was umm-ing and aah-ing about the blouse as I have similar prints but when I tried it on at home I could see it was made for me.
Have just Googled the napkin holder - £3 in Ikea but eBay postings are strangely asking for much more:
Eta: just remembered the 5th item, it was a 30-pack of citronella tea lights which will come in use to keep the bugs at bay.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.9 -
I am laughing here: I bought the same item at a chazzer up in the Borders a couple of years ago for my sister's post. I always thought serviettes laid flat so I never made the association.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

It has been a bit of a drought in the Bradford chazzas recently but struck oil today, a pair of L.K Bennett mid height pointed shoes for a £1 in cancer research today, didn't think they would fit as they were a 39 & I am normally a 7 but thought here goes & I tried one shoe on & it fitted, then I had to rumage to find the other shoe which I did. They are a grey / taupe colour with a strap across. Checking on eBay I can't find the same shoes but they tend to sell for at least £20 a pair.
I also picked to a tu blouse in green with little mopeds & a pair of m&s navy trousers for £3 each, think I need a trip to the Mecca charity shop in otley, thankfully Miro is a much smaller size than me so I stand a chance of finding a bargain or 2.10 -

@Miró I remember an old friends daughter made herself a skirt from ties and it looked brilliant.
Trying to stop shopping in the CS's yet managed a pair of M&S cropped trousers find in a sale. I have spent all my adult life dressing from them so in reality it isn't going to stop, just slowing it down
