Big wave to all as I'm finally well enough to make a foray to a charity shop. I managed to get as far as the Age UK branch and was rewarded with this terrific pie drip catcher by Chicago Metallic which is a brand I've seen online but not actually used before. It's nice and sturdy and a clever shape too so as it was only £1.99 I bought it.

Black Amara polka dot dress (just covers the knees £4
Bright blue suede bag, no maker. It has 3 internal pockets so I envisage lots of scrabbling round, but couldn’t resist the colour £3
And 3 what I call pocket money items for £1 each:
FCUK body moisturiser
Fossil small blue and cream tin: I imagine a watch came in it.
Small Sainsbury’s blue seaside style toothbrush holder.7 -
Some nice finds - well done everyone 😊
I have had a CS fail. Popped into Barnados en route to supermarket. Spotted a dress by Love and Roses. Buffet style soft chambray fabric with shirred cuffs. I washed it today and pegged it out only to find a 1 cm hole, front and centre at crotch level. Could I fashion something over it? DH suggestion a No entry symbol or hazardous waste sign. Any better suggestions?!

@Coxy11, how are your sewing skills? If you decide against your husband's er... innovative suggestions, I think chambray would look good with embroidery or applique. I you don't want to make your own, you can buy patches. Go to town and don't just patch the damage, pick up on the colour on a sleeve or neckline, perhaps.
If the holes are in a suitable place, you might be able to make narrow seams down the length of the skirt to hide them.
If you put up a photo here or on the Fashion on the Ration thread, you may get some more precise ideas.
I was in Gloucester the other day and found the 'Footsteps' (Counselling and care) shop, which was really cheap for clothes. I got an M&S tee shirt and another from Indigo for 50p each, and 3 paperbacks for £1 each. Really pleased with the quality as well as the price.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. I had to hit the charity shops today as we have a funeral to go to next month (my husband's family, I didn't know the person) and I found him a black short sleeved shirt in case it is very warm that day. He has a smart long sleeved navy shirt that he can wear if it is chilly. I also found him some quite nice smart black shoes in another shop (which were a bargain for only £3) and I found myself a black shift/tunic dress. I had to go into six shops to find us that as everything was too casual. I couldn't find any shoes for me so I had to order some black court shoes from Amazon when I got home!2025 GOALS

Came back from the 99p shop in Otley yesterday with a pale blue, Jaegar, fitted shirt in a soft twill cotton fabric. Already have this in pale pink so I knew it would be useful. Also got a burnt orange jersey knee length shifty-style dress also by Jaegar but this was from the 'designer rail' and was £4.997
