I know the Herriot Hospice one closed a little while ago, but I was sure the Martins one was only opened not too long ago?!Wealth is not measured by currency4 -
A quick ish report back from Bedale, which turned into good hunting: padded gilet-type thing (lining of one pocket needs stitching but nothing major) £3, two pairs cropped trousers, Matalan, 50p each (tiny bleach spot on one but I can probably ink it in!), Jamie book from the recent series (unused) £2, terracotta pot with chip £1, Primark pack-away Mack with a small sunscreen mark that I’m hoping to get out, 50p.

Bedale car boot is definitely on from 6am tomorrow but Thirsk (Woodfield) is still under water so isn't happening. It looks as though Woodfield may add a Wednesday teatime car boot at some point to try to catch up. By the look of the field, sellers will need to book moorings for their boats.I know of another M/H Hospice shop that closed a little before the Northallerton one, (Headingley, Leeds). They said that they were 'hoping' to relocate out of town but nothing seems to have happened yet on that front. Wonder if the Northallerton one closed for s similar reason?

Thus far: a complete set of Inspector Morse novels (in a box), an Iris Murdoch, a sociology textbook, an obscure Virago paperback about a Catholic education and a Spanish made china figurine of very little artistic merit.6

@Frith, I'd not seen those calendars - the Ian Beale one is hilarious, though I'm not sure I'd want him looking at me for a whole year! The benches actually look nice and relaxing.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Chazzer #1: One large candle holder that matches my art deco lighting perfectly, 3 books - inc one on misogynistic violence, and another on Afghanistan (oh the irony) - 3 jeans inc 2 John Rocha, a pair of new looking Craghoppers, a Wallis blouse and a Debenhams blouse, and weighty CD rack for just under £20.
Chazzer #2: a Wallis blouse and a Tu summer blouse for £1 each, and 2 Costa coffee latte mugs for £1.
Chazzer #3: 3 golden tea light holders for £1. I'd bought similar from the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul years ago and believe they are a better bargain than that!
Chazzer #4: I forgot to enter as someone I knew stopped to say hello outside the pubNo man is worth crawling on this earth.

Am really pleased with the £2 CD rack - once I'd cleaned it up I realised it was spring-loaded. Currently on eBay for £30.

I was in Otley today and found a nice PDSA shop, really nicely set out and well stocked. I came away with Ellesport trainers (£3.99), a new Sass & Belle photo frame (£1.99) and a book (£1).I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I specifically went to town to try and discover what was occuring!
So Martins House Hospice is next to The Works, stocked but not open Sundays.
Herriot Hospice shop which is further down and near Lakeland and Cafe 127 - closed? But has been for a while I think.... they've even taken down their boardings on it.
I have visions of various MSE'rs muttering to themselves, pacing Northallerton High Street trying to figure out what we've seen, when we've seen it HAHAHAWealth is not measured by currency5
