I popped out to post a Bay of E parcel charity sale today and popped into PDSA. They had a Whittards hand-painted mug for £1.29 so I grabbed that to list for my charity fundraising. Quite collectable so hoping it'll get me a little bit of profit.

If they’re anything like the guys I live with it’ll be:

Guy: “Honey, where’s my drill?”

Wife: “I don’t know. Did you put it back on the tool shelf?”

Guy: “Of course I did but it isn’t there! Did you move it?”

Wife: 🙄

Guy: “… I can’t find it, I’m just off to B&Q, be back in an hour!”

Repeat x30 and then he found them all 5 years later when he cleared out the shed.

Same but I got insoles for them to provide arch support so I can wear converse and vans.

I tried that but I have very peculiar feet & Converse don't fit me properly with an orthotic instead of the insole.

Ah I know the weird-shaped feet problem well! That sucks. It’s such a pain shoe shopping (quite literally sometimes!) when you have non-standard feet shapes.

My local Red Cross shops have been a third to half full of Zara new clothes for a while. Whilst in my favourite branch of Oxfam last week I heard the sales person explaining to a customer that the Zara stuff has small faults and is about a third of the price. 

A good haul for me this week:
Dark grey suede shoulder bag with a silver star on it £6
Silver plaited belt £1.50
white with black trim Calvin Klein golf skort £5.50. I’m not a golfer but thought it would be good for the beach and cycling.
Staffordshire large Cornishware lookylikey bowl £3
Blue chunky gin glass 50p.
Sanctuary heel balm 20p
Land of Nod body butter which says it has essential oils that will help me sleep. I’m sceptical but it was only 50p
After the Party by Cressida Connolly paperback 50p.
And best of all, something I had been hoping for ages to find in a CS a silver pleated skirt, mid calf length (H &M) £5.50.

Took a wrong turn yesterday and stopped the car to look up directions.  I realised I was right by a St Peter's Hospice shop so I took a few mins and bought a really nice checked M&S blouse/lumberjack shirt for a fiver.

Northallerton people, what's happened to the St Martin's hospice shop? I went past today and it's gone! (Okay, so I couldn't have gone past it if it's gone but you know what I mean).

Bedale car boot is definitely on from 6am tomorrow but Thirsk (Woodfield) is still under water so isn't happening. It looks as though Woodfield may add a Wednesday teatime car boot at some point to try to catch up. By the look of the field, sellers will need to book moorings for their boats.

Do you mean the Martin House Hospice shop?  It closed a few weeks ago, all stock removed and a hand written notice on the door....can't remember what the notice said now    I know of another M/H Hospice shop that closed a little before the Northallerton one, (Headingley, Leeds).  They said that they were 'hoping' to relocate out of town but nothing seems to have happened yet on that front.  Wonder if the Northallerton one closed for s similar reason?

Aaaargghh can't get to Bedale today, do report back if you go!

I wonder if @CAFCGirl would have any insight on your scarf, Miro? I think she knows things about fabric... it looks wonderfully light to wear.

I've only just logged on and see this! 
It does look like a combo of wet and possibly needle felting to me. I remember watching Hugh FW doing wet felting in his very earlier River Cottage.

I cant say I know much beyond that though HAHA
