Cherryfudge said:@Miró, I've seen the Charles Trewitt as well (BHF Darlington, I think). Staff told us the company donates surplus stock. I've not noticed the Zara items but I will now.
@Frith, I like that top! Perfect for summer (with an umbrella).
I wonder if @CAFCGirl would have any insight on your scarf, Miro? I think she knows things about fabric... it looks wonderfully light to wear.3 -
I’ve noticed new stuff here, Zara and others but a lot of Zara. Chunky prices on some of it too!I'm unsure about my spine, I think it's holding me back.5

Scarf envy!!!
One of my sisters in law does felting and that's the first thing I thought of when I saw that. There's also a technique whereby wool (of any sort I suppose) is loosely woven and then the fabric is shrunk to make it very strong and water resistant which is a variation on this and might explain the solidness of the background material (I visited a loden coat factory in Austria a few years back)
Been wondering for ages why there is so much brand new Zara stuff in all the chazza shops right now? Anyone else noticed and know why? Also seen loads of brand new Charles Tyrwhitt menswear??5 -
I found a lovely Royal Doulton Atlantis lidded casserole dish in PDSA today for £3. Needed a bit of a scrub around the handles but the pink stuff brought it up like new. Will be Bay of E-ing it for my charity fundraising but would love to keep it. Forgot to say that the oblong cake plate from Little Venice Cake Company x John Lewis I got for £3.99 sold for £19.99 plus postage so about £18 after fees. It all helps!Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings4

I went past the St Vincent's shop yesterday and they looked like they made more of an effort with the display window so I popped in today. I found two blue tops I liked and a wicker basket. There were some big bars of chocolate for sale by the till so I bought a orange Montezuma bar. The lady said there were slightly past their bb date. I just tried some and it is very nice. All for £13.
I saw an Ian Beale 2023 calendar in there too and wondered who would want such a thing!

Here it is in all it's glory. I took a pic to send to my brother as I knew he would find it funny.

My husband was very pleased getting 4 T-Shirts £1 each in a local chazza a few days ago. He also got my daughter one of those pop up tents, Peppa pig:money::rotfl::T6
