The chazza fairy sent me to the Sue Ryder shop today and I came away with a new sewing machine! My 40 yr old one is on it’s last legs, even just for alterations so the Brother one for sale at £50 tempted me. It appeared to have all of the accessories missing so the manager offered to reduce the price to £20. Got back and investigated the carry bag and dust cover only to find the accessories pack! Ermmm….think I’m gonna have to go back and make a donation!!! 🤭13

The charity shop gods smiled on me yesterday. I’ve been looking for some paper filing trays for the *ahem* home office to go with the nice metal ones DSis rescued from her work skip. Lo and behold in my favourite hospice shop there were 3 similar stacking type trays for a bargain £3! They leapt off the shelf into my arms.

I have thistles, carnations, snowdrops, daffodils. It's more fun to hunt the non rose variety. A true sense of victory8 -
Yesterday I went on one of my CS circuits. I found a pair of VGC white leather Converse for £5 early on and then visited loads of shops but found nothing. However when I reached the final shop (Oxfam) I found 2 pairs of M & S jersey trousers, one tailored ankle grazer style and one straight leg full length for £5 each, both in VGC. And a lovely Phase Eight dress which will look good with white shoes/ trainers and a denim jacket for £6.
white trainers and black trousers were on the list inside my head, but I now want a black jacket to wear with the trousers!

My kind of haul, @Potternerd! That dress will be perfect this summer, and as for white leather Converse...! Enviable.
Just the jacket to go.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I actually found half a dozen items to donate earlier this week: I've expanded a bit beyond some of them, and there was a lovely charity shop find of a dress that I bought in a hurry last year and never wore. Tags still in, but when I tried it on, the colour died on me, so that's gone to find its true home.
I have so much stuff in the loft that needs to be sorted but I'm not going up there without someone else in the house: I want to be rescuable if necessary! Meanwhile I'm starting a bag of winter things to donate in the autumn.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
