I'm really considering not renewing my passport in a couple of years time what with single supplements and the high premiums for travel insurance as you get older and/or have any health issues. Travelling abroad is not such an attractive prospect as it used to be! Just glad I did a lot of international travel earlier in my life!
And to keep O/T....for anyone who visits the chazza shops in Otley, the BHF shop that has been closed for refurbishment for the last 6 months has now re-opened. It now resembles a pawsh boutique, (even has a section for leopardskin pattern garments(!!), and has prices to match. I saw a very well washed/matted/bobbled sweater priced at £20 and it wasn't even a swish brand7 -
@Miró - very amusing to hear about the refurbished BHF shop and its leopardskin section, do take a photo to show us please.
I cycled along the river to the bike shop to collect the basket they were modifying for me and then decided to visit the Barnardo's and Oxfam shops on the Cowley Road. Frustratingly when I got there at about 10 to 4 the Barnardo's was closed and there was a book I wanted in the window so I'll have to have another go tomorrow. I was luckier across the road at the Oxfam shop and picked up this nice divided file for notes with a pocket on the front which will be perfect for recipe cards, £2.49, as well as these three books, £1.99 and 2x £2.99. There were some stunning clothes on their rails today, I spotted designer leather trousers and a beautiful Emporio Armani wool jacket both at quite reasonable prices, sadly the jacket wasn't my colours and the trousers were a horrible cut.

Bedale Car Boot purchases…..a garlic press and a scarf with pheasants on it, (my homage to all the dead squished ones on the roads this year
), both 50p each. Only 2 more BCB’s to go this year. Woodfield one cancelled this week as farmer says field is flooded.

I'm trying to gird my loins to go to the car boot tomorrow. I'm out tonight (driving) but expect to get home after 11pm, so I might be too tired, but they are only running for a few more weeks
CS purchases today:
YMCA - 4 x large Christmas gift bags - £2, plus a wooden advent calendar for £5 which I'm going to take to a charity bring and buy event DSis is organising for our JoGLE adventures.
Oxfam - CK/Churchill blue floral mug - £2.99 - took a chance on this. The other navy blue floral one I got sold for £10 plus P&P. Can't find this one listed on Bay of E.
I wore the Oliver Bonas dress last night with my CS denim jacket and CS Adidas rose gold shelltoes. The girls were very impressed!Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings9 -

Didn't realise that car boot sales were allowed on the thread.. sadly not many round here. eBay purchases last week were a Roots Canada t-shirt for me and 60th anniversary Kent County Show pin tray for husband's desk. Also got him a Helly Hansen Lifa top from Oxfam 6.99. This week paid 30 euros including postage, for a 15th anniversary Boulogne-sur-Mer fishing festival fish-shaped dish, from eBay.6
