Morning - it was a fairly good sales day yesterday. OH’s Tesco CC currently stands at £117, with another £52 that has already hit my bank account to pay off, so we need another £65. I’m already at £25 worth of eBay sales and I withdrew £10 from Vinted last night, so £30 to go. Come on sales!!
In other news, I found out last night that if I can stay at my job until September 2024 (my 10 year anniversary), then I can keep my staff discount for 5 years after I leave. So I am going to try and stick it out and then leave at the beginning of October 2024 (a year later than planned). It means one more Christmas, but it seems silly to pass up on 5 years of discounts for the sake of another year. If they offer any voluntary redundancies in the meantime though, I would probably leave and grab the cash.Emz xx2 -
Sounds like a plan, and you might be able to really get on top of things by then."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Evening
We paid of OH’s Tesco CC 😁.Update on the next debt too. We spoke to our friend and he said he’s fine and knows we’ll pay him back, but he’d rather we pay back some debts that are costing us loads in interest. He’s a really good friend. So I’m going to tackle my Aqua CC, which is HUGE - £4,495.30 😩. We’ll pick one of OH’s debts to pay off too.Need to get back on top of my 10 eBay listings a day as it’s slipped recently. So I’m going to set myself a challenge. 100 days = 1,000 listings and get my Aqua CC clear in that time. Runs from 25th January to 4th May.Emz xx1 -

Day 1/100
Ebay Listings - 10
Vinted Listings - 5
Aqua CC - £4,490.30
A good day of sales, just under £200. I need to work out what we’ve got coming out before next Friday (OH’s payday) to see what I can pay off my card. I withdrew £5 from Vinted today, so that’s today’s payment.Emz xx1 -

Well done on clearing tesco debt and its good news about the friend not needing it back quickly. Have you looked to see if you would be eligible for any balance transfers? If not hopefully as you clear more you might get offers. I would keep tesco open as they may send a balance transfer offer as well. They did for me not long after i cleared it.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200
*Virgin Credit Card - £3552.50 - £0
*Natwest - £1828.35 -£0.00
Barclaycard - £2315.25 - £0.00
Creation Finance - £960.32 £840
*Total debt - £8040/£11641.17*
Savings
*Savings Buffer - £100/£1500
*Emergency Fund - £1500/£1500
