Is anyone now saving their overpayments to pay at a later date now some of the interest rates on savings are a bit better ?
I have been so confused by it all - My mortgage rate is 1.84% currently and easy access savings are at around 4%. I am thinking about putting it away in a fixed rate ISA until I remortgage in July 2027 (or a few months before).
In my head I was going to be saving so much interest by overpaying, but in reality if I overpay the 10% allowed each year I will be saving £153.30 a year !

It looks like you will make more saving than overpaying at the moment.
Initial mortgage bal £487.5k, current £258k, target £243,750(halfway!)
Mortgage start date first week of July 2019,
Mortgage term 23yrs(end of June 2042🙇🏽♀️),
Target is to pay it off in 10years(by 2030🥳).
