    #12  just added another £5.53 & crossed off 130, 140, 141 & 142.
Loving this challenge, even though I got a bit behind. I will definitely join up again next year as it is so worth doing. I decided to use mine to pay towards next years holiday.

@geordiejon, how does the Chase account work? I might have to research into that.

hi, i just opened an account and any purchases you make you get 1% rewards.
you have to turn on roundup but when you do if you spend say £4.20 it will make it up to £5 and place 80p into roundup, interest 5%.
i setup a xmas savings account and that pays 4.01% interest.
with just small amounts the interest isn't great but all helps.
the account is app based but you do get a card, i have had no problems with the account.

Here I am! Here I am!!

We were without internet for 10 days this month, and then I just got out of the habit of firing up the laptop.

I haven't put much in my virtual pot this month, but because I am doing the challenge in reverse, I am still ahead. Planning to pot more next month (though our car did badly fail its MOT today, and needs to be scrapped.....)

Tonight I transferred £6.60 from Prolific to my Paypal account, and crossed off:
    £2.60
    £2.58
    £1.42

My total for this month was £12.86, and for the year so far is £394.15 thank you for all your work enthusuasticsaver

Fantastic to see an update from you as I don't appear to have seen one since April?  Have I been missing your posts on the thread or have you not been posting/saving? Nice to see you again anyway.

No I had to take a break for a few months - I did post about returning a week or so ago. Basically I am starting again from 1st sept to the end of the year - it won't be as much as if I did the whole year, but better than nothing!
  • Hi everyone. #73 here with August update. I saved £65.04, bringing my yearly total so far to £395.72.

Thanks for organising, ES. I hope you're all well. I have covid again (fourth time!!!) and have been pretty sick this week, but I had a great month with a break in the Lake District and a working/minibreak trip to Stockholm. Can't believe we're in September! Keep going everyone.
  • Ok, here goes for my September update… and @thegreenhouse , so sorry to hear about your 4th hit of the old Covid…I’ve only had it once and that was more than enough  :s I hope you fully recover soon  :)

Anyways, September is (already) proving to be a bit of a spendy month as I’ve just received my car insurance renewal and it’s up by 33%!. I’ve tried all the comparison websites (and the ones that they miss) but my renewal price with my existing insurance company (Aviva) is still the cheapest/best even with the increase  :'(

With this in mind I’ve decided to simply round up our total to a nice easy figure…and fully plan to make up for it next month  o:)

    Therefore,

#86 Topscooby £61.46 for September, which gives us a nice round £2000 for this year so far!

As ever, many thanks must go to @enthusiasticsaver for continuing to keep the momentum in this thread/challenge and Good Luck to everyone participating with your savings goals!

    Until next month……

    Andy
