Do you ever get tempted to throw all your saving to your debt and just pay it off?
I made a very non MSE decision just before my LBM, I got a car on leasing. I have to give it back towards the end of next year, so I might spend the savings on a new to me car. I've been driving electric for almost 7 years, no way I could go back, but EVs are more expensive. By next autumn there should be more second hand electric cars on the market, so hopefully prices will go down a bit! 🤞
Great news about the pay rises, well done to both of you!01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0
03.07.2023 - CC (0%) £9,859 / Loan £0 / Savings £10,1100 -

Yesterday was a really good day, I completed £50 worth of MS, they are ready to pay out but I only get 2 withdrawals a month and I'm hoping to pick up a couple more tomorrow so I'm going to hang on a while. It will automatically pay at the end of the month if I don't get to it before that. I also cashed out £14.01 from Prolific, as usual, thats been paid to the FIL. I was thinking of adding it to the Virgin CC to reduce the last payment but I know I will pay that off next week anyway so it felt like I was cheating myself.
Nothing much has happened today. DH still hasn't had his £175 from FD I think its next week he can chase where it is. He meets all the criteria so theres no reason they shouldn't pay out.
Tonight, I am just going take it easy, plans for the weekend are to complete the dreaded tax return and a couple of MS's.
Happy Friday everyone!!Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

I need to start todays entry by saying I'm sorry to all those who PM'd me. I did not even notice and for some reason since the site updated I am not even getting email notifications from MSE. I have replied to you all now!!
I had a really good nights sleep last night and I appear to be full of energy this morning. I have already done the majority of the Saturday clean. We have white quartz worktop in the kitchen and I noticed the ring from a tin has left a mark on it. I've tried everything to get it out this morning but nothing appears to have worked so I'll have to see what I can get to sort that.
The weather is disgusting this morning, I have 2 MS to do, I don't think I'm going to bother looking for anymore as I don't want to be out in this too long. That will be another £24 when I get paid for that.
I had an email from the HMRC this morning to say my tax code has changed. When I logged in I noticed its got an 'X' on the end, I'm sure that what I had last year and it was an emergency code so I will need to have a look into this. Not sure why there should have even been a change.
I will list a few bit on Vinted, actually I will make this my next job as I can't do my MS till 10am. I keep saying I'll do this but can never be bothered. I'm also making corned beef pie for dinner, it DH favourite but we don't really have it that often.
Have a great weekend everyone!!Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

Well I've had a nightmare already, I did not realise I would need to pay 2024/25 estimated tax in 2 instalments for next year. That coupled with the fact that my tax bill is way higher than expected means I need to find an extra £408 a month until January 2024.
How can my profit be just over £5000 but I owe £1900 in tax???Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

If anyone knows how to fix the email 📧 thing I would appreciate the help xxUnfortunately there is currently no fix, which is rather annoying as I used the emails alot, it seems they must have broken something when they changed the board over and now say they are "looking into it"Here is the thread of 87 pages of what other forum users think about the overall design and stuff, perhaps if we all started posting in there about the emails it would get resolved quicker?

How can my profit be just over £5000 but I owe £1900 in tax???Oh no!! I had a similar problem with a rather surprising tax bill when I did my tax form in december. I had to set up a payment plan and find an extra £365 a month for 6 months. Thats what actually got me going on this forum. I felt really stupid for not doing my tax return eariler which would have given me more time and also for not putting more aside to help pay the tax, but previous year I have always fallen under the threshold.I think I would get them to check your figures over as thats doesnt sound right. Is this a self employed business on top of another emploment? ~ hope you can get it sorted♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025
