I just wanted to give you a heads up you probably don't need. Hopefully you have well organised employers. If your next payday isn't either 29th or 30th June ignore me. When you are paid 4 weekly you normally have 13 pay periods per year. But some years there are 14 which causes problems for some employers payrolls. What happens is they use all your tax allowance in the first 13 & that means there is none left for the 14th. That means you pay tax on every penny of that income. So earn £2000 pay £400 tax & take home is only £1600 (less other deductions). You may not have seen it but a few years ago there was a big thread on here about Asda having done just that. Their payroll didn't actually deduct any tax at all if I remember correctly so every full time employee got a tax bill later in the year. To say they weren't happy is an understatement. Next time would be 2045 so not something to regularly worry about.2

Thanks @badmemory I have been paid 4 weekly for the last 25 years and I don't remember that ever happening to me but I'll look out for that.
Kitchen payment did not go out today, as its not the 21st. I had it in my head for over a week that it would go out today, I just must have got confused with my dates.
I'm off on a 3.5 hour drive to Plymouth now, I'm starting to get in holiday mode!!2 -
Good evening everyone.
The kitchen payment went out today, I am now into the next £000 bracket and over £10k paid off this year.
I've worked out that by paying the minimum payments that I expect to pay, the debt will be down to £48,385 by the end of the year although, fingers crossed its more!!Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

Currently on the train to Manchester, I have back to back meetings for the next 2 days plus dinner with my boss and colleagues tonight. So I really don't know when I'll get a minute to myself over the next couple of days so I'll make the most of the 4 hour train journey.
Yesterday was a good day, I managed to pick up 3 mystery shops that paid immediately so that was £41. I've left it in my ready to assign as I have no idea how much tonight will cost me. Most will be on expenses but there will be some out of pocket expenses. I also have enough to cash out again in Prolific but theres also a lot of low paying surveys pending so I'm going to hang onto that incase they become payable.
Called in Morrisions for some bits for dinner last night, I never raid the yellow stickers but I had a pack of mince, 2 chicken kievs, 2 pastries for the train journey this morning and 2 garlic breads for £3.08. What a bargain, its all gone in the freezer and DH can use them while I'm away next week.
Right, swap laptops and I better get on with the prep for my end of year review, I'm so last minute and I shouldn't have been as how I do in this depends on my pay rise percentage!!

Thank you @Mortgage_Minimiser, your user name relates to exactly why I want to tackle this debt so I can get on with over paying the mortgage. The sad reality currently is that my mortgage won't be paid off until I'm 72. If I didn't have all this debt I could be putting this money in savings to pay off the mortgage when my fixed term ends next September!!
Thats some impressive overpayments you've made.Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42

Last night was a bit more expensive than I wanted it to be, my work colleague never has any money and is quite open about his debt problems. However he did not put his hand in his pocket all night. I'm so annoyed not only with him but myself as well for not just speaking up. I keep my debt private (she says as she's typing on a public forum).
My boss did say I could my rounds on expenses, which was good of him but I went to do it this morning and I couldn't find the receipts!! I'm hoping they are in the pockets of what I was wearing last night.
Long journey back on the train now, my performance review went really well and he told me he was really happy with my performance and work ethic since I started with them last July. That should mean an okay pay rise in October. Bonuses aren't looking too likely this year as its been a challenging year financially.Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42
