Seven pairs of glasses decluttered to the opticians, apparently they go to third world countries for those who can't afford glasses.
One letter posted banking done, library book dropped off, and nipped into little Tesco metro and used my voucher to get
a red pepper,
an onion
a reduced tin of upmarket chopped tomatoes,
a big bag of little marshmallows,
a tin of Cadburys Hot Chocolate really big 500gm one, was only £2,50 and tescos own brand one at half the size was £2.35 so I'm pleased that I spotted the price per 100gms on the edge of the shelf label
and two bananas
it came to exactly the £5.00 voucher. I love hot chocolate with marshmallows and some squirt cream on top as a treat on cold winters afternoons.
But the 1st December and no cash spent so far
Food budget intact in my purse. I'm going to be decluttering some of my food stocks before i buy any more if i can
I'm digging out some chicken thighs from the freezer and will use the red pepper, onion and chopped tomatoes with lots of spices to make some chicken curry in my slow cooker.I seem to have collected quite a lot of chicken in there so I will make a big batch tomorrow and portion it up for freezing to use during the nippy month of January .
I'm away at Christmas and new Year so I really am running down some food stocks

Sounds like a lovely event @vulpix. For a good many years I didn't really like Christmas but this year I think I'm finally starting to embrace it so looking out for local events to go to to get me in the spirit. Might even drag DH to the tree lighting in the village.
Good to hear the procedure went well @Wednesday2000 and you were one of the lucky ones. I have a bad enough time with smear tests so hate to think what would happen if I needed anything else doing 😆
Thanks for the reminder re: glasses donation @London_1, I'll have a couple of pairs that need decluttering soon and was wondering where I could take them. That reminds me that I need to get on to work about an eye test voucher.

Well!!!!!!!!! I have just found the errant door curtain, the brother to the pair I took to the chazzer yesterday !!!!!!!!!!!! Mr V gone to work so I thought I would unpack a box with ornaments that have been waiting until the carpets were fitted. I suppose I could go and buy them back. I have of course ordered new curtains now. Hahahahaha. What a twit.:18

well isn't that just typical 🙄, its either get down there and buy them back or get errant one down there so they all go together??? My mum bought another pack of acrylic paints, guaranteed when she goes back home tomorrow she will finally find the set that's in her house somewhere

More digital decluttering today. It's definitely more time consuming than physical decluttering and isn't as satisfying as it's not as easy to see the difference. Nonetheless, it needs to be done and I have a far off goal of being able to cycle all my photos through a spare ancient iPad that I can use as a photo frame when/if I ever get done! Glad of having a break from digital decluttering over the weekend and will use the time to catch up on a few things like repotting house plants, tidying up, maybe wrapping presents, arranging the freezer nicely since DH just dumped stuff in there and maybe actually sewing up the final pair of jeans so I can clear the bedroom.Decluttering:Digital:
38,128-38,388 - photos/videos deleted
38,389-38,403 - documents deleted
Physical:
38,404-38,406 - cards recycled
38,407-38,408 - paper (reused, then recycled)@vulpix I love the idea of the no place tin, although I fear my kids would try and ram it full and then request a larger tin!Weird day overall. Had a last minute call from my manager to tell me that my resignation has gone to the top of the company, they are panicking and will suddenly be offering me a bonus to stay and changing my contract to a 100% working from home one. If they did that before I started looking, then I wouldn't have looked. All a bit late since there is no career there. The new job has a career there waiting for me. Oh well. Let out early from work for good behaviour and am currently cooking a huge batch of banana drop scones for the kids breakfast tomorrow whilst drinking a celebratory gin and tonic. Most important of all, I had a good gym session last night and am regaining/gaining skills on my favourite equipment (bars and floor). I think looking after myself better will be a theme for next year and I start with a new job... I was settling as wanted more kids time, but wasn't happy. Yes I will be more busy, but more importantly I will be happy and therefore a better mum.2025 decluttering: 3,958🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

On purpose - 2 brand new bras into the charity bag. I bulk buy my bras at Walmart when I'm over that way - they are cotton, reasonably comfortable, moderately supportive (physically but not emotionally) and have gone all the way up to $17.99 for a 3 pack. That's in CAD, in Ontario so to translate that to GBP you add 13% sales tax and then calculate for the exchange rate. So maybe £13? For 3. Unfortunately sometimes there are mistakes made. Like I bought a perfectly normal pack but 2 of the 3 had extra seams that go right over my shoulder blades and are highly irritating. So into the chaz bag they go!! I still have another 20 or so that I'm working my way through - some are nearing the end of their usefulness so will be binned as no one is going to want something tatty.
Not on purpose - was out to lunch with my art class and on getting in the car to come home I felt a tug on my earlobe and discovered that I'd lost the back off an earring. Unfortunately these are the extra lovely, very expensive hand made solid silver ones I bought when we were in Dresden in the spring. So a replacement back will be difficult to find and expensive as well. I'm glad I noticed at the time as it meant I could put the actual earring in my pocket and go home to try and find it in my clothes, footwell of the car. No luck finding it so I'll have to track down a proper jeweler to get a new back.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. By 'eck, it's parky.
A quick summary of what's been herded:
43GB data deleted, 400 emails, 50 items to rubbish, 25 items to recycling, 14 t-shirts to a mate who will repurpose them into beanie hats... new total is 4324 and deferred decisions decided total now 556.
Going to have to invest in some thermal leggings and socks to go under my other clothes at work for draughtproofing.
