Finished watching the 2nd series of Hidden, sadly not as good as the 1st series. DH & I had a bowl of hm soup for lunch 😋 DSis went out & finally managed to pick up her meds 😮💨 Dinner was chicken pieces fried in butter, boiled potatoes, sweetcorn & peas. Wudupa. Will be having a bath later 🙂

GrannyKate, you have been busy - decluttering, building beds & even tackling officialdom 👏 Fingers crossed for an optimal outcome from the government form 🤞 Shame about the ‘good’ car park being shut down 😔 Like you, I am not a fan of multi-storey car parks 😞 - even with proper lighting they always seem gloomy 🙁 Excellent decluttering especially dealing with the frog 👏
You are very welcome vulpix 😊 & thanks for the lovely compliment about my knitting ☺️ Sorry to hear that you have to curtail your knitting due to arthritic hands 😔 Hopefully you will soon be able to find the time to take up some new crafts 🤞Great decluttering & well done on releasing so many Christmas decorations to new homes 👏 Good luck with your next round of decluttering Christmas decorations 🍀
Nice to see you Florenceem 👋 I noticed that you weren’t posting much & thought you might have been unwell so I am relieved to hear that you have just been busy with SA duties 😮💨 Your retired SA officer does have a wry sense of humour 😉
Brie, what a cheek making the Foodbank pay for disposing of packaging etc 😖 😞 especially as they are providing such a useful service. So 💐 to all the volunteers for helping out 👏
Thanks bit_by_bit 😊 I knit quite loosely as well so end up using thinner & thinner needles so that I am not knitting for giants 😅 Excellent decluttering 👏 & good luck selling the books 🍀
Excellent decluttering ajmoney 👏 I must admit to my curiosity being piqued by your prevarication on dealing with tights 🧐
Gradually catching up 😉

I’m still resting in the TLC carriage, but have popped out now and again with an eye to blitz a big to do list before the end of the year. Got my second interview on Monday, so mainly thinking about that this weekend. Bit scary after almost 9 years at my current firm, but I need to leave for my own sanity and learning if nothing else. Temporarily solved the going into work problem by just not turning up. No comments on that yet and hopefully I will be able to hand in my notice before someone higher up decides it’s a problem.Still working on the freezer and will be defrosting it right at the end of the month so I can restock a bit before I panic there’s nothing in before I have the kids home 24-7 constantly eating.

Amazing work @vulpix. I have a way to go to catch up with you
Good to see youy @nannywindow . Hope you are feeling better soon so you can stop doing the TLC carriage hokey cokey. Lol.
So I didn't achieve all I wanted to yesterday but got 3 bags of books, dvds and cds to the charity shelf at the garden centre. I have another bag on the go for there already.
Today I have sent 3 bags of gifts made up by me from old jars and recycled materials and wine bags foull of goodies c/o @vulpix. They are for the local church fair next week. My MiL is a member of the church so she was happy to take them. I will have a bag of bric abrac for them too. I am counting one of thebags as an in and out. Thanks vulpix.
So 5 bags to me and one inandout.
Today I have to just sort out a CD case and a box will go off to a book buying site. I won't count it until it is gone.
Another box for a different site has 23 items in and it still comes to only £3.28 so I think I will donate those to the garden centre.
The house is an awful mess but the first wall of stuff is going down in my bedroom. Definitely making progress.

Saturday has started out damp & drizzly 😔 Never did have my bath last night so I will have it this morning after my 1st cuppa. DH & I need to pack an overnight bag as his nieces M & G invited us to dinner in Kent & we have booked an hotel. Not looking forward to a motorbike ride in the rain but am looking forward to seeing the family 🙂 Good news for us, the recycling wagon has just turned up (10:00) only 2 days late 😉 Timer is on & I am ready to cheerlead 😊
vulpix, excellent work rationalising your Christmas decorations 👏 Any chance of a picture of the knitted hats 🙏 Well done on getting the contents of the under-stairs cupboard safely tucked away in the shed 👏 I am taking it as read that the kitchen cupboards have now been sorted/rearranged so I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ for completing a whole house declutter 😊 Congratulations on getting to the “Maintenance Decluttering” stage 🥳
Siebrie, you are so organised 👏😊 Not sure MrS has quite got the hang of the ‘fun wish list’ 😉 Good luck with the X-Ray/s 🍀 Fingers crossed for a cash windfall so you can treat yourself to your walking boots 🤞
-taff, great idea for using shredded paper 👏
nannywindow, so sorry to hear that you have been struggling with health issues 😔 although I am pleased to hear that you have been treating yourself to some TLC 😊 One foot in, one foot out is a good way to make use of the TLC Carriage but be careful not to leave too soon 😉Excellent decluttering & well done on starting to empty down the freezer in time for some Christmas goodies 👏 Sending many cwtches 🤗 & a fervent wish for a continued recovery 😊
daisy_1571, thanks for asking for details about the Siebrie household wish list 👏 Funny how we each have our very different idea of how it works 😅 Quite agree with you that nannywindow should continue to make use of the TLC Carriage 😊
Siebrie, thanks for the further explanation of your family tradition 😊 Sounds like a great idea to organise a treasure hunt for MrS’s gift 👏😊
Florenceem, good luck with the sales for the corps 🍀
Wednesday2000, perhaps you & I should have a mini competition to see who drops off their bag/s to CS first 😂 The prize would be 💐 Well done on tackling a grotty frog by washing the vacuum cleaner filters 👏 especially when you are still feeling under the weather 🤧 You do know how to treat yourself - a new vacuum cleaner 😉
EnergyShifter, what appalling service 😖 although I was pleased to hear that you now have all your bathroom fittings 😊 Hopefully this means that the bathroom renovation will soon be completed 🤞Excellent work being so productive with administrative matters 👏 Good luck with the FitFlops refund 🍀
Floss, good idea about the stroppy phone call 👏 maybe backed up by a quick email 🤔
Lovely post daisy_1571 😊
Good luck with the phone call EnergyShifter 🍀
Siebrie, sorry to hear that fruit prices are so high that you are having to use your hg supply 😔
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 although I do hope that the forays out of the TLC Carriage are brief 😉 I have absolutely everything crossed for a positive outcome from your second interview 🤞They will be lucky to have you working for them 😊
Lovely cheerleading bit_by_bit 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 & I have finally noticed from your ‘signature’ exactly how much has been decluttered in various ways so am sending you a Gold Star ⭐️ - well done 🥳 The house might be a mess 😉 but you are definitely heading in the right direction 👏😊
All caught up & only 2.5 timed 23 minute sessions 🥳

Bit by bit,you can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs. You were brave enough to show me your room of doom and you have done an amazing job with it . decluttering takes time and many attempts because so much of our stuff needs to be emotionally processed first before it can go to be someone elses responsibility.I constantly have stuff out all over the floor to sort it. It's good that you can release the books. I have made thousands over the years, selling stuff but now I just don't think it's a good use of my time. It is important to me though not to be wasteful with things. I would rather give something away than be its custodian forever. I know when things have to be released these days because they nag me. Presently it is some Christmas stockings and their hangers that are currently in the shed. It was only the other day that I thought I needed to keep them.
Mr V on his way home from work and we have decided to stay in today to avoid Christmas shoppers. I will tidy the kitchen cupboards and if there is a break in the rain I would like to pot up some strawberry plants I have been given into the wall planter that DSS put up. It won't be long until we have a frost so I am going to put a pot of geranium into the outside loo to see if they will overwinter. I have undone the baby wheres wally jumper, I wasn't feeling it. I will just use the wool for more Christmas baby hats for the Christmas fair next week.
hold the front page! the pen I was given at a first aid course that I have used exclusively for 3 years has run out of ink!!!!!
Love to all Vx:16 -

Headteacher DD brought back unsold makes and £32 - I gave her a sack of different bits to take into school.
Off to teach DGd how to use her sewing machine this afternoon.
Mr F has gone to the charity shop with 2 full big bags of stuff and then will distribute posters advertising the table top sale.

@QueenJess - can you set a specific snack/tea time for the family and then you can concentration on having lower cost foods available - lots of scones and peanut butter and jam or bowls of popcorn or Twink's hobnobs or veggies and hummus. Mid-morning snack, afternoon snack, watching tv snack time and no other extra times outside of meals so they aren't trying to eat all of the time. I am at home a lot and I understand. It is hard to limit the eating times so I just try to make sure I have less expensive stuff hanging around.13

Helloooooo from the TLC carriage today. Yet another busy week emotionally and physically so taking some time out. (Pats herself on the back)
we now have new patio doors!!!!! Old doors decluttered . He is coming back Tuesday to do stuff so I will use this week as a big declutter and clean week. There is some mold on 2 walls due to old patio doors being very worn out and draughty etc but we’ve been told that will dry out and won’t reoccur.
caught up with 2 old friends yesterday which was brilliant.
stay safe in this weather everyone xx⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering
