Florenceem said:Been away for a week - got back last Thursday evening - Friday was getting ready for the table top sale. Saturday was the usual tiring sale day - we raised £815.92.
Sunday was spent all day at SA - it was new members enrollment followed by a lunch and Songs of Praise time.
Monday morning was a funeral at our old Church - we went to the wake in the Church hall as the service was poorly attended and we wanted to support the family who we know well. On Monday evening - we went to the first week of an Alpha course at SA.
I needed to change some items that I bought while away in Nottingham so went to the nearby shopping centre on Tuesday morning. In the afternoon I had a mega baking session - used 22 eggs - I made 2 large lemon sponge puddings for Wednesday's SA lunch plus a jam sponge pudding for us.
Yesterday was SA friendship/lunch club so a tiring time then I spent hours in the office with the captain counting money. He has asked if I will become the new Corps treasurer which will involve training.
Weather here today is dreadful - people were advised to remain at home.

Quick pop in, not done any physical decluttering but having had a shock going on my emails and seeing 1.2k ! (this is one of two personal emails) - managed to get down to just over 900!
190 phone contacts deleted. Have to move stuff over to a new phone- not good at all these, as old phone broke and lost lots of stuff!

Hi all, very wet and breezy here today but I did have to go out twice to collect my meds. The first time I went they hadn't been made up. I think they must have been short staffed in the chemist as 3 people in front of me were also asked to call back, they weren't ready the second time either but I said I would wait for them, took about 15 mins. Anyhow they are all sorted now
.
The bedroom recycling was emptied and the bathroom bin. As the weather was so atrocious I had a sort out of some of the ends of candles and made up a big one, there are 5 empty candle jars soaking, a couple of really nice ones I will probably keep to use as planters and the rest I will either take to the cs, put on the free site, decorate with glass paint or recycle depending on if I can get the labels off.
I then went on the laptop and ordered OHs jeans and had a go at my emails, 200 deleted.
@EnergyShifter you have my sympathies, bathroom and kitchen renovations are hell. OH leaves it all to me and both these rooms need doing and I am dreading it
@Mrs SD my Drs use my mobile to send me messages, reminders to get my covid jab etc but annoyingly they will also call me on it when I have phone consults even though I have told them the signal in my house is terrible and to use the landline.grrr.
@TC77, I was told to keep phone numbers on the SIM card and to also have a written back up last time I killed my phone. The nice man in the phone shop transfered everything for me but it did take a while and I have since backed up my photos by putting them on a usb stick, not much help now I know but might be useful for the future.
Ok, off to bed now, woodland funeral tomorrow so I am hoping it has stopped raining by then. Hugs to everyone who would like one

vulpix, earlier in the year we had quite a lively conversation about hedgehogs with some lovely pics 😊You are most welcome re the pattern - just thinking that feather & fan stitch might make a lovely fancy looking baby blanket 😉 Meanwhile good luck finishing the UFOs 🍀 Like you I am really enjoying lurking on the stash busting thread 😉 although I think you have done far more crafting than you have given yourself credit for 🤔 Everyone is so talented & it is one of my daily pleasures to admire other people’s crafting skills 👏 A decent haul from the cs & very reasonably priced 😊 Well done on your continuing weight loss 👏
Soontobeoap, what a beautiful quilt 😍 Excellent work dealing with the frog 👏
flamingo747, I hope the trampoline stayed put in your garden & you managed to sleep Wednesday night🤞
Well said QueenJess & Floss 😊

Friday is another dismal day but so far dryish 🤞I am up but not yet dressed 😉
Will have my first cuppa & then get dressed warmly as DH & I both have appointments at the dentist 😥 Fingers crossed mine is just a checkup, scale & polish but DH needs more work 😣
TC77, great decluttering & dealing with appointments on Wednesday 👏 Numbers are rising steadily 😊 Thanks for the reminder re Christmas cards 👏
sillyvixen, what a pain re the exploding lightbulb 😱 Typical that it waited until the clocks changed 😔Perhaps a head torch might be useful 🤔leaving both hands free to change the fitting & put in a new bulb 🙂 Good luck emptying the car boot 🍀
Liverpool_Anne, sorry to hear that you have been having sleepless nights 😔 Fingers crossed that you slept better on Thursday night 🤞Loving all the chat - not waffle - about various topics 😊 Keeping everything crossed that your Christmas plans are finalised soon 🤞 What an awful concept ‘mischief night’ 😖 Perhaps the police should appropriate the 30th & use it to bump up their arrest figures 😉 I have pm’d the pattern which will hopefully make more sense now 🤞
I have caught up a little so will now finish my cuppa & get dressed to go out 😉 Hope everyone has as good a day as possible 🤞

Good morning declutterati.
Well knock me down with a feather! Mr V sorted through the box of papers. a lot of things posted and claimed on our local thrift site, some to be squirreled away in his studio, some things thrown away. I have put all my certificates of qualification in the recycling and just kept some photos and a few cards the children made when they were young. All away in my bedside drawers. Probably revisit them at a later date, although I do them quite regularly.
The house is perilously close to having everything away in it's own home. It's taken 2 years to reduce everything enough for it all to comfortably fit. Upstairs is done, I am happy with it. I feel comfortable with the amount of possessions we have. Of course clothes are a moveable feast for me, I love clothes and realise that I buy a lot but also donate a lot compared to most. I do shop at charity shops and secondhand for most of them. there is one box still packed of things that were on the bookcase in our bedroom. I will leave it until the new carpet has been fitted. There is also a box of stuff in the shed which was on the sitting room bookcase which I sold! Some condensing to be done ANF(after new flooring).
Downstairs I need to rearrange the kitchen cupboards as I just shoved things in when I unpacked the boxes.Under the stairs is a feast for the eyes with matching boxes from our local sweet factory full of Christmas decorations. I know I need to reduce , this is a very difficult area for me. I only have room for one tree at this house, yet I could decorate the street! It is all so close to being maintainance mode. I have lost a door curtain. from when everything was packed up before the new kitchen, I have no idea what I have done with it,hoping it will turn up,I took ages making it and the matching window curtains.
This then leaves the sheds. We have a massive insulated shed divided in two with a studio one side and storage the other, each side has its own door. I have had Mr V bring in all lurking house things in which went in prior to renovations. wall pictures and wall clocks. I was hoping the missing curtain might have been in there. House things still in there are a Christmas tree and a butlers tray, too big to go under the stairs.
There are also two half sheds like a bike shed. One has tools the other currently houses a pine chest of drawers which I will renovate for DGS and some gardening stuff, bags of compost etc. The last one is a sentry box which has all my gardening paraphernalia in. Next years jobs are to paint and tidy them.
I am so happy to know that my children will not have to make decisions about the contents of the house when it needs to be emptied. They can take what they want and send the rest to charity. There will be no broken, defunct things to sort through. Unlike my Mum's house. She has kept everything for justin.
Today I will undercoat the door curtain pole to be a similar colour to the curtain one. Then we are off to my Mum's house. Mr V is having 2 cupboards for in his studio and bit by bit is having a chest of drawers for her Grandaughter. All have been emptied but need to be brought down stairs.
Next week a fabulous event will happen. My lovey handy Step Son is coming to put up a blind, pictures, clock, move heavy garden pots, put up a manger on the garden wall, mainly things that need a drill.Top man. I will make him his favourite spag bol.

Apparently it's reading week next week, so 'could you come and collect me? ' was our phone call at lunch time.
Don't you just love your Children!!! 🤔
So much notice he's given me.!! So I've told them to get a train! I do feel a little bit guilty, but actually they need to be able to be a bit more independent! I also said I would pay this time!
I was on the phone with DS1 last night and he didnt mention it at all🤦
I would have driven, but my face pain is a bit nasty today, so not up for a 4 hour round trip on a Friday tea time 😳
Anyway moaning aside i can't wait to have him home, made his room up, i have missed him loads.
Happy Friday everyone♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Evening all. Weather turned out quite nice today and two loads of washing put out lunch time were almost dry when I fetched them in. Enough to just fill my two clothes horses so nothing put in dryer. DGD4 hurt her ankle at school so I went and collected her early - only a minor strain but given her some ibuprofen and Calpol for children. Not really done much but did remember to take large bag of plastic to SM and returned some empty inhalers to pharmacy. Bought last card needed for November and some more Christmas cards. Bedroom three walls painted but need a second coat. Hopefully room will be done for DGS4 for middle of week.

I managed to have a day indoors yesterday. I got Mr F to empty our small chest freezer so I could do a stock take. Now the meat is on left side - fish on a shelf, bakery on right side and bits in the basket. I have worked out that I can get 49 dinners from the stock list. Still need to do a stock take on the new freezer.
I baked last night and had a failure so cakes went in the freezer for puddings with custard. I tried to use plain flour with baking powder instead of self raising.
I popped to SA this morning - and ended up being there for nearly 4 hours. I was helping to sort through stuff upstairs - we are getting some storage bins so culling supplies.
