Mrs SD with all the little bits of stuff I've given myself 26 for yesterday. ,so being generous for all the smal; bits.
woke up abit overwhelmed as no room functions and culdn't get through the hall and rooms without climbing over things. Watched some videos of Joshua Becker which motivated me.
Broken hairdryer, 6 plastic storage boxes , 8 likes with likes, old sweets, ood food, part roll of wall paper,3 items dropped at pharmcy, item returned, more on my big frog, 3 odd socks to recycling, chipped bowl out , boxes inside boxes, 8 items for the bank of things, counting as 35,
New total 1547, things look abit tidier but need to keep at this pace for a few months!

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday was a mixed day but mostly dry & sunny. I didn’t get up until 12:30 & have done nothing apart from watch Line of Duty - currently on episode 3 of Season 6 😔 After watching MotoGP qualifying DH filled the bird feeders & fed the worms + a bit of pruning. DSis went shopping. Dinner was chicken & mushroom risotto. Wudupa.
2038 - 2039 Kitchen recycling & detritus.
weenancy, sorry to hear that you have been so unwell 😔 I am sending hugs & get well wishes 🤗 just wish I could do something to help out 😔 I am also rather annoyed (on your behalf) at roommate Di for forgetting to feed the dog. I seem to remember that she had been doing a bit better earlier in the year with a job & doing a bit of tidying even if it was under supervision 😉 Your roommates need a good kick up the backside although, on reflection, I do think that daisy_1571’s observations are probably more useful 😉 Not quite sure how G managed to burn a chicken when boiling it 😥 I am just wondering if there is anyone at all who could give you a bit of assistance whilst you are so ill? Even if only to pop in and feed the dog rather than you setting your recovery back even further 😔 Re the car window, do you have a friendly neighbour who could sort it out for you? I understand that you are a very independent lady but please, please ask for help 🙏 You do so much for not only your roommates but also your community, so I would hope that someone would love to help you out 🤞
Lovely to see you charlies_tribe 👋 Thank you for the lovely pictures 👏 The location looks idyllic & you seem to have had some lovely weather 😻 Well done on catching up with 300 posts - no wonder you couldn’t remember what you wanted to write 😉 As to the other members of your household, I think you should banish them to a tent in the garden 😂 Joking aside though, I think some ground rules should be laid & if a room that is filled again after you have sorted it, then everything that isn’t specifically yours, should be bagged up & put out for the bin men 😉 although I would warn everyone that it is what you intend to do if no help is forthcoming 😉 Excellent decluttering 👏
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 Sorry to hear that work is still so busy that you are finding it difficult to keep up with the tidying 😔
Florenceem, sounds like MrF did well handing out posters 😊 & good news that he didn’t have any falls 👏Those lemon & sultana muffins look sooooo tasty 😋 Hope you enjoyed the barbecue & that the weather was kind 🤞
vulpix, sounds like Friday was a lovely family day 😊 with the added bonus that your loft is starting to be emptied 🥳 Fingers crossed that the issue with your heart can be sorted quickly 🤞 So sorry to hear about MrV 😔 Sending lots of positive thoughts that medical treatment will be quick & efficient 🤞
Florenceem, perhaps you should treat yourself to a Cabbage Patch doll 😉
Wednesday2000, fingers crossed you will be able to arrange a bulky waste collection for Monday 🤞Sounds like your decluttering is going well 👏
Liverpool_Anne, sounds like your peacemaker role has worked beautifully 😊 but sorry to hear that it has left you emotionally exhausted 😔 Fingers crossed that the investigations into your sister’s health issues will not find anything serious 🤞Great decluttering 👏
What a lovely post daisy_1571 😊 I especially like your observations/idea for weenancy 😉 Lovely to hear that the new member of your family is settling in well 😊 & is enjoying her new home 👏
I have caught up one page but have just seen the time so I am off to bed 💤

Roommate Di started getting sick yesterday - tested positive for Covid. I may need to also. J says he also tested and was negative. G still complaining about his swollen leg and claims he isn't drunk - but he has been behaving like it and is back with the girl friend from last week (on-line only). It been quite a week. Fortunately I wore my mask while at my sister's to take care of the dog. Will need to cancel a lot of appointments for both of us for this week. Found out the cat has been wetting and pooping all over the sofa (couldn't get to it for awhile). Moving this one out for trash pick-up will be the major job for tomorrow. Fortunately we were planning on replacing it, but not doing it until she is better. Will stick with metal chairs for awhile. Oh well - life is what it is.14

I hope you feel better soon @weenancyinAmerica.@nannywindow - I can only add to the condolences regarding your niece. I am so sorry that your family have lost her in this way.Now that the autumn is moving in I am refocusing on the house and noticing that yet again I have not redecorated the stairs and landing during the summer. Still, we did get a lot done outside and my shed is now very tidy, although I ought to go through the things that I kept and see if I really want them all. A job for a nice dry day or, more likely, the spring. The remaining drawer of the bureau desk still awaits my attention, along with all the many little cubbyholes. Perhaps I will tackle it one small cubbyhole at a time as that does sound manageable. I would really like that desk gone by the time we get the 🎄 so that can be a simple goal. In the meantime I have shampooed the downstairs carpets to have things fresh going into the winter. I am always horrified by the grubbiness of the water and the grit in the tank despite thoroughly vacuuming first. It is weirdly satisfying though! The throws and cushion covers have also been washed and the exterior of the windows. I really need to start going around the inside room by room, seeing what can be moved on and having a good top to toe clean, including the inside windows. It is so much more approachable now than this time last year because a lot of stuff has gone. We are far from being where we want to be, however the progress is tangible. I’m keeping up well with the rubbish and the recycling. Also, Mr MV is much more on board and enjoys filling the car for the recycling trips. Whenever we go into town we try and take things to the CS or the recycling centre. It’s becoming more of a way of life than an onerous chore.Thank you to people posting photos of kittens, holidays and home improvements as it brightens the thread nicely and provides vicarious enjoyment. I can’t have a cat, haven’t been on holiday, or organised any building work but I can enjoy yours 😊 Also, to all declutterati for keeping up the inspiration for keeping going 👏 and @Mrs_Salad_Dodger for looking after us all so wonderfully 🏅18

Hello all, lots of packaging and boxes from deliveries have been binned or recycled. I'll have to stop DH having pocket money if he keeps spending his own money like nobodies business 😂 However today there is a delivery arriving for me 😁, replacement electric toothbrush heads, exciting eh ?
Vulpix hugs to you and Mr V.
Weenancy hope you feel better soon.
TC77 I'd wear it around the house, then gardening until it falls apart !
Thank you to all for your kind words and condolences. Hugs to anyone in need

Morning Peeps,
Hugs to all who are not feeling at this time and RL challenges keep strong.
I went to look for a safety pin yesterday as was being lazy and not at this time wanting to get the needle and thread out. Of course the safety pin would be in a junk drawer as that is what they are for right? (not got everything in a like with like - WIP) So scraping around in the bottom of the drawer I found all sorts of detritus that found its way into the bin/recycle bins. There were quite a few things that should have gone sooner, any how, the bottom is looking a tidier. Even a small bundle of keys for window locks from old house - we've been here for 8 years as of Friday just gone
DH cleaned out both vehicles of detritus and had a couple of finds - he found a nice pen he used to use and "lost it" it turned up stood up in the seat belt mechanism cover. Tested it and it didn't work so cleaned it found a replacement refill and away we go, back in service. He also found in mine a retractable lip brush. So the current one is now back in the drawer till the found one gives up on me. Sadly he didn't find the biggest object I've lost/decluttered this week (I'm sure it was whilst at my parents) I lost the stone from my solitaire ringDH has cleaned out U bend traps this week in hope without success. I had cleaned out the fridge at theirs and remember pausing whilst emptying the water but carried on. I was resigned to the fact it was not insured as the date had passed but kicking myself for not noticing any renewal prompts from insurer
then I couldn't even remember who we were insured with) I believe things happen for a reason but we never know at the time. Turns out last year I was late in renewing my insurance and it ends in November - phew! Even so I am still looking everywhere I walked on Thursday just in case. Absolutely gutted. I don't think DH's find is anywhere near compensation.
