1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Tuesday was a glorious summer day - clear blue sky & sunshine temperature up to 29C. DH went out for the day on his penultimate RBR trip. He left at 08:15 & got home about 17:00. I watched a few more episodes of Spooks but did do some decluttering - I tackled the long top shelf of my wardrobe + 3 of 5 shelves. I now have a CS bag with 3 pairs of SiteKing trousers, 2 Status Quo t-shirts + 1 t-shirt & one scarf (I will count when delivered to CS) although I did bin a pair of worn out summer shoes - 1942. Dinner was Chinese takeaway - our first in 5 months. Wudupa.
1943 - 1946 Kitchen recycling, plastic bottle, cardboard packaging, drinks cans - recycled
1947 Kitchen detritus binned
Siebrie, You will be as fit as a fiddle by the end of the week 😉 Good luck sorting out your pantry 🍀
Liverpool_Anne, you have had a couple of busy days & got a lot done/decluttered 👏
Florenceem, good news that MrF is being discharged by MH 😊 but sorry to hear that he is now anaemia 😔 Very pleased to hear that your tests came back as satisfactory 😊 & hopefully the Dr will discover that it was the stress of the last few months that has led to your weight/hair loss 🤞
Good decluttering TC77 👏
Hope everyone gets a good night’s sleep 💤

I’m still in the TLC carriage and still can’t eat properly as my jaw still hurts. It’s been over a week now and I’m very tired of it all.

I’m melting 😳 and cranky to be honest. Still as my neighbour keeps reminding me - we don’t get that much sun and summer was a washout this year.So today I spent ages watering the garden as hubby forgot last night. And then I tidied up ready for the cleaner and decluttered the bathroom drawers. Threw out/recycled:
lotion I’m allergic to
several dead grips (Kirby grips)
hair that I seem to have molted everywhere
ood gel
ood hairspray
ood freeze gel
5 eyebrow razor blades - no idea why I bought them as I prefer tweezers
ood bathsalts
4 Justin boxes
1 rusty nail clipper
6 escaped cotton buds
a lot of dust
i also threw out my no longer comfy fake crocs that I have worn for far longer than I should have.
also ordered vit D from the doctor and took Dog2 round the groomers. Dog1 went yesterday.
gonna make a cup of tea then tackle the craft stuff…..hopefully I’ll be less cranky later!⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

Hi everyone
I'm still in the TLC carriage with @QueenJess and othersI'm on day 14 from Covid now and am not testing positive but still feel totally drained. Yesterday I should've gone to my PT job but a colleague had offered to cover so I decided to accept - i was in bed asleep at 8pm! Today I've gone to my FT job as we had a team mtg; it was useful to catch up after most of us have had some leave - my colleagues all told me I looked dreadful !
I have decluttered some weeds from my front garden and have binned some OOD fake tan and very old hair products. I've also shredded some paperwork that has gone in the recycling.
I'll be glad when we get some proper autumn weather as this heat isn't helping with my energy levels
love to all

Have eaten 6 frogs this morning already. Will tackle several frogs with roommate when she wakes up. Need to get her medical bills sorted and get her on a proper medical plan as soon as possible. I've been to the doctor this morning and she has ordered one new prescription and a new test kit for me (diabetes). Taking Di to therapy for her shoulder this afternoon, then going shopping for groceries with three of us. Today was trash day (one day delay because trash company holiday for American Labor Day). Two filled trash bins and one partial, so keeping up with regular trash coming in and going out. Took two cart loads of food to the neighbors - but that was new stuff delivered here by roommate's minister. No way we could eat 20 bags of salad greens before they go bad. Four 10 pound bags of potatoes. Way too much for us, and there are at least 10 people living there. So like to spread it around. They are also related to family across the street, so they pass some of it along to them.
Hope to have a relaxing evening working on family history. Trying to get what is on my Ancestry family tree to match my sister's and nephew's (I have done BIL and nephew's wife's line too on mine). Takes a lot of cross-checking to make sure it is all there.
Hope everyone has a better week than last if possible. We are only in the 24-26C heat range for the next few days than back up. Supposed to be 33C at my sister's this Sunday for our get-together, but she does have air conditioning.15 -
Hi all, just reread my last pozt, should have said gone from miserable to twot
. Predictive text really isn't that good is it
Reporting in now as I am quite knackered with the heat.
I decided to do a tip run with the bin bag of hard plastic and thought I might as well take a few more bits. Luckily we don't have to book a slot here so no need to wait. I have sorted a few things in the garden to go, a fold up wheelbarrow thing that looked good but was a b####r to use, the balance was all wrong, a rusted incinerator bin, 2 sheets of ply wood that I can't use in the log burner and a metal pole thing. I also sorted some more plant pots to go to a friend.
I got a letter today with my appointment for the orthotic clinic to maybe get some insoles. I mentioned that I was going to get some memory foam insoles to put in my walking boots so I could have dry feet in the wet weather and I was referred. When I got the letter I did have a panic as I can't remember where my walking boots are and I have to take them with me so I had a hunt in the rod but couldn't find them though to be fair there is so much in there I'm not surprised, so I thought I'd check the 2 boxes of shoes in the wardrobe. Not there either but I did find a couple of pairs of flat boots that I can use. While I had the shoes out I had a mass trying on session and 10 pairs of hardly worn shoes and sandals have been put in a bag for the cs, not counted as they haven't gone yet, and 2 pair went into the bin. The 2 bags put aside for the friend who wants them for a project her church is running for refugees have goneand the bathroom bin has been emptied. Also 2 LDFPA, trying to keep on top of it all as we are going away on Monday and OH is bound to want something that is in the wash
@Mrs SD, sorry I should have said in my last post that I point blank refuse to iron for anyone else unless it is a dire emergency. This came about when the ex commented on a double crease in a shirt sleeve. I explained it was because it had been incorrectly ironed by him in the first place but said I would try to remember but if he ever complained again I would never do his ironing again as I really don't like it. A few months later I was just finishing a marathon ironing session as he walked in and said oh yes I had a double crease in the sleeve again today. I grabbed all his ironed shirts hanging up on their way to the wardrobe, threw them at him and told him that was the last thing I would ever iron for him, and it was. The same rule now applies to OH, not my job
. To be fair OH does a good job, better than I would
@Siebrie that's a lot of cyclingyou certainly will be getting fit
@Florenceem, glad your tests have come back fine, fingers crossed they will find the problem soon, hugs
@QueenJess, take care of yourself, it can take a while to recover but if you think it's taking too long would it be worth a phone call to the dentist. They may be able to prescribe something that will help, hugs. That pencil stub made me laugh, I think you have definitely got the most out of it
@Muddy_Walker, I am with you in the melting and cranky cornerbut I am sure it isn't going to last weeks and it is nice to see the sun 🌞.
@Deni_debt-free_dreamer take care, I have heard of quite a few people who took a good while to recover from covid, some still haven't years later. Hugs
@weenancyinAmerica I really am in awe of how you keep going, honestly you are amazing the way you keep all the plates spinning with the roommates. I think I would have had a serious meltdown, hugs
Right off to get something to eat. OH is out for tea so I will have all the things I like. Hugs to everyone who would like one
1232 + 1233 bags given to friend
1234 - 1238 items to the tip

Take care everyone

Feeling so much better but making sure I don’t overdo it and set myself backwards. Struggling abit with the heat. Slow bits of decluttering done when I have been going round tidying up things. Hoping to deliver my neutral/charity items in a couple of weeks, they are really building up, should smash through my target.
General decluttering
*226 a bag of soft plastics into recycling point at supermarket
*227-228 cat toys x 2 binned, looking worse for wear
*229 box that was used as a bed by the cats over the kitchen radiator last winter-into recycling. It looked very battered and clawed.
*230 found DDs lunch bag from primary school, not far off 20 years old and looked it-binned
*231 bits from a lovely Christmas tree skirt given to me years ago, but bits had fallen off and I did look at it for quite awhile to see if it was repairable but it has seen better days especially being felt- bits were binned
*232 frog dealt with and posted today
*233 more late birthday presents given out. I have been so bad this year with presents
Slowly building up a bag ready for the CS
