re the gloves....TurtleDoves? Mine are lovely!!!!
I have tons of photos of my cats - will post later
I have fingerless gloves and a neck warmer from T-Doves - & a cashmere cardi that one of the aforementioned cats plucked a hole in the sleeve so I will investigate whether I can send it to them to re-use

Mrs S_D - it is a nice suitcase and I have a smaller one that matches (which I've kept). It had been in the garage for years and I haven't used it for decades, if I needed a big suitcase I could borrow one and I'm also trying to pack lighter when I do go away.....
Happy Monday everyone

Told OH I would be doing some decluttering today as well as changing the bed. So got to strip the bed, do the sweaty work decluttering and then shower in anticipation of clean linen tonight.
In some early decluttering work I dove into the big bag of clothing that OH said he wanted to dump. I was going to just load it into my car as it was but decided I best check it first. Good job too!! One of my favourite Austrian dresses was in there along with a marvellous linen jacket. Granted the dress doesn't fit currently (I'm working on that....) and I'm unlikely to wear the jacket again ever (£3 from TKMaxx about 15 years back) but i wanted to have another look at it. There was also a lovely gray linen suit which I can't imagine I'll ever wear again so that's in the "go" pile now that I've removed the lovely cat pin from the lapel.
More worrying was the discovery at the bottom of the bag of a box from one of OH's old watches, still with a watch in it and his original wedding ring!! The workmen came to pick up the bulky waste. It was meant to be between 8-12 and I woke up at 8.05 and speedily got dressed and they arrived about 11.45!
They offered to take the stuff the plasterer left for free which was very nice of them as he was going to have to hire a skip. I asked them if they by any chance wanted a robot vacuum and an air fryer and they did. That saves me a trip to the charity shop. I had been charging the vacuum just to check it worked (although I am sure it must do as I only bought it last year) and so they took them both off my hands.
I have decided to keep the shoe rack as garden storage in one of the boxes so I need to go through the box later when my husband gets home as there may be more decluttering done today.

Wednesday2000 said:What will you do with them? I donated my wedding ring to a charity shop as my fingers have gotten too fat since my wedding, lol. It wasn't expensive, but it was gold so I thought I would do that. My brother has various watches his ex-girlfriends gave him as presents. I'm not sure if he sold them or donated them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Brie, perhaps you could have them remade into something else, maybe earrings? A goldsmith will be able to test the quality & new items should then be marked with that at least.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I was going to say as well, fun fact, I bought a second hand gold ring from ebay for my wedding (the one I donated) as we had money worries back then. I went to my friend's house a few years later and she had a psychic medium there who was giving me a reading (weirdly accurate) and she then asked me for an object to hold and I gave her my wedding ring and she started talking about things that had never happened to me (cycling in France etc...) and she said wait there that isn't your ring! So freaky!2025 GOALS

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Monday is a bright day, quite warm & sunny - temperature at 11:00 is 20C. I was up at 09:15 as DH had made me a cup of tea & was getting ready to go out on a 4 hour RBR trip. He left at 10:00 with “ride carefully” ringing in his ears 😊 I did write a new list of 4 frogs for this week. Number 1 was to make DSis’s bed - took 10 minutes 😬 but it is done ✅ Staying upstairs I started on the 2nd frog - removing all spare toiletries, air fresheners etc from my wardrobe. These will now be stored in the Really Useful Box (RUB) that I emptied when sorting out the corner of the living room 🙂 This led to corralling all the liquid soap refills, air fresheners etc from the downstairs wall unit. Everything is now in the RUB which is stored on the book shelf in our bedroom. Frog 2 completed ✅ I was on a roll, so stayed in our bedroom & tidied 5 of 16 cubby holes in the wall unit. Sadly nothing decluttered apart from some dust 😉 Returned downstairs & tidied 6 cubby holes in the lr wall unit - again nothing decluttered except dust 😔 Lastly I did last night’s wudupa 😔 & wiped down all kitchen surfaces. The only other thing I did was set up a new password as my Milk Delivery Portal had shut me out. Once done I cancelled this weeks egg delivery. DH phoned about 12:30 & is on his way home. I have sat down with my 2nd cuppa & after completing my competitions entry form I will watch TV & gather a 2nd wind for some more tidying, cleaning & hopefully decluttering 🤞

Deni_debt-free_dreamer, you are very well organised 😊 I imagine the cat has yet to forgive you for removing its chosen bed 😂 Fingers crossed that T-Doves will accept the cashmere cardi 🤞
Brie, fingers crossed that you have perfect drying weather leading to fresh, clean linen on your bed tonight 🤞 🤔 Not quite sure what to make of OH’s ‘bag of clothing’ 🤔 I will be very kind & just say that he “absentmindedly” put your clothing & the watch + wedding ring in the bag instead of leaving them to one side for you to make a decision 😉😊 That reminds me, DH & I still need to get his wedding ring resized & my 30th Anniversary 50p made into a pendant 😊
Wednesday2000, your comment re donating your wedding ring to a CS has set me thinking about going through my jewellery box again 🧐 Re the bulky waste pick up - if you hadn’t got up at 8:05, Murphy’s Law dictates that they would have turned up & gone away without even knocking on the door 😉 Great news that the old plaster & detritus was taken away for free & that you also managed to declutter the robot vacuum & air fryer 👏 Very MSE of you as you either saved money on wear & tear of shoes OR saved some petrol money & wear & tear on your car 🥳 A great idea for repurposing the shoe rack 👏 & good luck decluttering the garden box 🍀
Brie, your rings sound beautiful 😍 Any chance of a photo 🙏
Floss, what a lovely idea to have the old rings remade into something else 😊
Wednesday2000, I have never been brave enough to have a reading 😔 You obviously had a really good psychic medium 😊 Although I think I would have been really spooked hearing about things I had never done 😱
Will now have my rest & watch TV but will be back later 😉 Sadly the weather has taken a turn for the worse - sun has disappeared & there are dark clouds 😔

A few bits and pieces decluttered today. I will try to do some tidying later. I repacked the charity stuff, but the box isn't full yet, so it will hang around until it fills up.If I get time I might consider looking at moving the blankets to the empty box I have in the upstairs cupboard in my attempts to tame it. The battery and light bulb boxes are now half empty and the card box isn't full either - I have ordered some better size cardboard boxes which should mean I can fit them all in the same small space. It takes me ages to figure out how to arrange things.. I would be a terrible interior designer as I'm so slow at it
. When I moved plants around when we went on holiday, I realised I actually preferred having more space in the living room, but I'm not even nearly at a conclusion on what to do about that!
Physical:
31,929 - T-shirt DS grown out of (charity bag)
31,930 - lid not needed (bin)
31,931 - empty packet (bin/recycled)
31,932 - plug not needed (bin)
31,933 - packaging used up
31,934 - paper (reused, then recycled)
31,935-31,936 - greetings cards (recycled)Here's my messy cupboard. Yep, could be worse, but also needs to be better. I like free space and order! I will slowly get there. Not dealt with the rest of the stuff my parents brought over either. Tiny things at a time... on the plus side I am finally working through my own medical list of things (slowly of course) which will reduce the 2023 frog list I wrote at the start of the year.Edit: Looking at these photos I realise makes me look like Jekyll and Hyde... some is perfectly organised and the rest a total mess with nothing inbetweenThat's pretty much how the rest of the house goes too!
