2023 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN Mrs SD

A surprisingly productive day yesterday. Submitted my expression of interest for the new role, and reviewed the presentation one of my direct reports has created for her interview this week I know I’m in holiday but it was intentionally all done in my pjs with a cuppa so it didn’t feel like work. 😉
Then I decided I was pulling out the contents under my bed, added some bits to the early Christmas present collection and hoovered under there. I then had a very ‘woman of a certain age moment’ where I appreciated the ‘elbow’ hinge option on the cordless hoover which helped with said underbed hoovering! 😂
I’ve sorted out a couple more books for the Ziffit box which makes me marginally better about the TBR pile increasing. Although I have read 13 books so far this year which is 1 more than I managed for the whole of last year. My more scenic commutes are paying off.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Morning all - just caught up on posts - still at DDs with small people but home tomorrow. We have managed to dodge the worst of the weather and had lovely sunshine yesterday afternoon in Birmingham when all surrounding area had torrential rain. Just a few showers where we were. We visited the beach set up in Birmingham centre and I was very impressed - DGD4 was able to go in the small inflated water park they had set up (charge £5). Beach area itself free with loads of buckets and spades scattered about. Lots of horse care to do this week and I've done most of driving as DDs car on the blink again. She has been waiting 9 months for new car - latest date is December. Think she will trade old one for runabout to last until new one comes. Some tricky frogs to deal with when I get back.

Morning, decluttered and cleaned the cupboard under sink as a load of washing powder spilt 😔. One carrier bag of stuff gone - out of date medicines and cleaning stuff i don't like so half used bottles (some cleaning stuff smells choke me) and a load of old microfiber dusters and some teatowels put in the cleaning rags pile. tub on the left houses tealights/candles etc. There are spare light bulbs. The hair cutting clippers are at the back (black box), the clear box houses medicine's and the large tub on the right houses my cleaning stuff and Henry vacuum bags. The kids are driving each other insane.....and me too. We are on holiday next week so am hoping to 'get ahead' and get organised for it, unfortunately have to keep stopping every few minutes to break up a squabble 🙄

Had my first day indoors for 10 days yesterday.
Cutting out my new project - lots of cutting to do on this one - hope I like the result.
Mr F is in the office - tying up ends of the business. I am keeping a close eye on him and suggesting breaks from the office.
I will probably get some air as will lock up at SA tonight.
No shopping needed as I want/need to use stuff from fridge/freezer.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Only think I’ve decluttered recently is back pain and hopefully my other health issue 🎉
unfortunately our last rabbit passed away so I am trying to sell the hutch and run so we see how that goes I guess
sounds like all going great on here and you all been very busy19 -
Sorry about the rabbit.xx
I have been moving things around again now the top of the wardrobe looks so clear. I moved the pet stuff like collars, leads, flea and worming treatment, brushes etc... downstairs into one of the TV units as it makes more sense being downstairs. I recycled various packaging I didn't need and used some boxes to put it in there all tidily.
I now have a whole free drawer so I am going to go through the inside of the wardrobes tonight and maybe move my clothes and bags around. I'm hoping I will find some more things to declutter as I haven't brought the donation bag to the shop yet.
I did take a pic of the before of my oven so I will take an after when the oven cleaner leaves. It doesn't look as bad in the before pic as I know it is so I will see what it looks like afterwards!17 -
Sorry about your rabbit crazycatlady2 😔.
I have 2 bags of clothes and books for the cs. About to tackle my bedroom as 2nd dd has trashed it while I have been organising some stuff for our holiday.☹️2024 decluttering Campaign

Crazycatlady sorry about your rabbit, it's so sad when a pet dies no matter how large or small.
I'm creeping in because I can't remember when I last posted, sorry. I had a busy time in RL then lots of decluttering was done, too much to remember to list. I helped sort and clean DH's shed and we now have 4 bags full of wood bits/ pieces to dispose of, plus a large bag of mixed rubbish ( wires, metals etc). Several plastic containers were put in the recycling. I also persuaded him to hand over the innards of my old vacuum as he hasn't done anything with it and the same with some other stuff he was hoarding collecting🙄
I have trimmed the conifers and helped to take down about 4 ft off the top. I filled our 2 green waste bins, which were emptied and then I have refilled them for next time. I also cut some shrubs back as they were starting to foul my washing line. I then booked myself in the TLC carriage as I had another fall and took the skin of part of my foot 😱 My bruises have healed but my foot is still bandaged up, that will take a bit longer to get back to normal.
I have the hamsters on loan at the minute while the DGC are away and I'm always happy to give them back in one piece 🤞 I shall miss talking to them in the evenings though 🤪 I have today also decluttered 2 pairs of DH's underpants as they had no elastic left (they were washed first)
Hope everyone is well, hugs if not. happy decluttering everyone.
nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently17 -
The people from the insurance turned up at the same time as the oven cleaner.
He said the oven wasn't that dirty, but there was residue from my cleaning products and some food stuck on the sides where I couldn't reach. It looks a million times better now.
Before and after:The insurance man told me about a product called Oven Pride which costs about a fiver, but works very well too.

Mrs SD I may have meant yes, the second set of questions were worded differently, just know I got the sense that I am high on the scale of needing major action.
Large vintage light fitting given away and collected yesterday. Had tried to sell but just glad out. Have to climb over or round some items
Optimist today, it will change !!18
