Hi everyone
Pleased to say the sun came out in the NW yesterday and my evening exercise class was outdoors
Just doing work today then going to the outdoor theatre - rain forecast but we are sitting under cover, hoping for vertical, not horizontal, rain.
I was pleased with myself last week as I had just 2 of the old stamps left and I used them for a condolence card and birthday card - a teeny tiny bit of decluttering & money saving but all helps !
Hoping to get through all my self employment work this week alongside FT job so I can tackle my bedroom next week

Good afternoon. Nothing was managed yesterday. Dd1 asked if I would go to town with her and the younger DDs came too. Only spent on a fidget ball and lip gloss for DD2 and somehow I ended up paying the parking charge again 🤣
In the evening we all went for a walk while DD2 was at dance class. After 1 lap of the country park DD1 took DGD and her pup home so our younger 2 went with her and DH and myself did another lap on our own as DD3 didn't finish for another hour. We did just over 8km altogether.
So far this morning all I've decluttered is way too much tea! Under the blanket on the sofa. Really need to move and get something done but doesn't help when it looks so miserable outside.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Mrs_Salad_Dodger Wednesday2000, Fingers crossed that the council quote for removing bulky waste is a reasonable one🤞 Please remember to take before & after photos of your oven 🙏 I would be grateful if you could post the ‘after’ photo 😉 The before one is for your eyes only 😂 Can I ask if you are using a local or National company? Getting my ovens cleaned is one of the many frogs I have yet to tackle 😉
I looked on Checkatrade for the oven cleaning so a local company. They quoted me £55 for a single oven so not too bad. I will try and remember to take a before and after pic. I haven't even used the oven since we moved in last year. I tried to deep clean it a few times, but it doesn't feel clean to me so I hope they do a good job this time.2025 GOALS

J was here just under 2 hours painting - got to remember that the other side of the stairs is wet paint today. J will be back next Tuesday - bedroom door needs to be painted.
Made another 6 cat Christmas stockings today.
Very windy here but only a small amount of rain so far.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Wednesday is an overcast dreary day. I woke up at 09:30 & to avoid a headache I was up & dressed within 5 minutes. I made my 1st cuppa & put the TV on. Surprise, surprise next thing I knew, I had nodded off & woke up at 11:30 but only for 15 minutes & was then in the land of nod again until 13:30 😔 Now raining. However, no headache so that is a bonus 😉 I checked my Premium Bonds & have been lucky again - 2 x £50 wins (DH won £50) Not doing too well on completing my 4 frogs - still only one sorted & 2 started 😔 It has done nothing but rain on & off all afternoon 😔
oceanspirit, well done on completing 2 frogs 👏 Good luck with the kitchen tidying 🍀 Hopefully the new company for the boiler service will do a good job & be around for years 🤞
stellata, hopefully you won’t have to wait too long for your op after your pre-op appointment 🤞Excellent decluttering 👏 & very pleased to hear that you are feeling more in control 😊
Florenceem, I have taken the liberty of copying your comprehensive lesson plan. 😉 I will utilise this when I finally get around to using my manual sewing machine 🙂 This is dependent on DH finishing the clearing down of his desk 😅 Sending get well soon wishes for the SA officer.
Thanks for the link daisy_1571 👏 I have read a bit already & am looking forward to reading a few more of the articles 😊
Deni_debt-free_dreamer, yippee to evening sunshine & be able to exercise outdoors 🙂 Keeping everything crossed that forecast is wrong, so that you can thoroughly enjoy your theatre visit 🤞 A very useful & MSE bit of decluttering 👏 as you say every little bit helps 😊
charlies_tribe, I think your afternoon yesterday sounds lovely - time spent with family rather than decluttering 😊 Fingers crossed that your weather improves 🤞
Wednesday2000, a very reasonable quote from the council 🙂 Hopefully you can book a date & arrange payment soon 🤞 Re the oven cleaning I think I need to sit down with DH & have him talk me through the intricacies of “checkatrade” website 😉
Florenceem, I will say it again - DGS J is a star 👏 At the rate he is going, you will have him painting your whole house 😉😅 Excellent decluttering of fabric 👏 At the rate you are going you will have to make another order for fabric 😅
Now 16:30 & I have done precisely nothing apart from sleep, drink coffee & watch TV 😔 Just made myself a cheese, lettuce & tomato sandwich which will hopefully give me some energy to do something/anything 😂

@daisy_1571 thanks for the link, worryingly I had to answer no to most. Really need a shift in mindset!

Made a start on the filing cabinet and lots of papers went into recycling or shredded. Meal plan made for the next few days to use up more store cupboard items. Will need to move a few things out of the living room and hallway tomorrow so the chimney sweep can get in on Friday - hopefully a few things will find their way out as part of that process.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅17

Successful completion of frog2 - finally managed to speak to cousin R. Chatted for about 30 minutes & let her get things off her chest as she is dealing with every aspect of her fathers death on her own. Older brother has emigrated to Australia. Her younger brother lives quite far away but he has visited a couple of times to help with decluttering. Still no word from my DB 😔 The hg rhubarb has been portioned up & put in freezer - 3 bags. Kept a 4th portion out & will make an apple & rhubarb crumble tomorrow. Dinner was shop bought chicken in sauce (from DSis), boiled hg potatoes & peas 🤤Wudupa.
