Monday is another dark, overcast day 🙁 I was up at 11:15. First frog done - emailed my friend whom I never got around to meeting back in February/March 😔 & now awaiting a response. The sun is attempting to show it’s face 🙂 DH was up at noon but no sign of DSis although she has been up as her cup is not in the cupboard 😉 Did a bit of recycling.
1722 - 1725 Empty spray can, 3 cardboard boxes - recycled
DSis is now up 12:50. I have just tried to sort out my 2nd frog - transferring cash to my sister-in-law’s account for my two nephews. Rather worryingly I was told that the details I gave “don’t match” even though I have sent money previously & it was acknowledged as being received by DSisiL 😱 Cue frantic phone call - message left & text from DH to my DB. Now (anxiously) awaiting a response 😥13:25 & frog 1 is sorted ✅ - I have a date & time to meet my friend 😊
oceanspirit, I hope you are having better success with your frogs 🤞 Sorry to hear that you have been suffering from fatigue but pleased to hear that you are now recovering. Good luck dealing with your prep work for tomorrow 🍀
charlies_tribe, relieved to hear that you were able to discover what was troubling DD3. Such a shame that her best friend has moved away 😔 You have been busy this morning & have found plenty of items to declutter already & that is just shelf 1 👏 The Tupperware might be taking up more room now but the saving in time will be well worth it 😊 Hopefully you will have the same success with decluttering shelf 2 before DD1 & DGD turn up 😉
carolbee, I see Floss has replied 😊
Brie, fingers crossed that everything in the carport gets collected this afternoon 🤞 Awkward but ultimately good moderating on Freegle - shame other apps aren’t so stringent 😔 I take it that your “toy car” now fits in the carport 😉
DH has just filled the bird feeders 👏 & retired back to his office with a coffee & a porridge pot 🙂 He is still trying to transfer the last of the data from the ‘on its last legs’ hard drive 😬 See you later everyone.

Did some washing and couldn't put it out as looked like rain.
Made a Christmas stocking for an order.
Went to opticians with Mr F - we waited so long after his eye test to choose glasses that my foot went to sleep. At least the public toilets were open in town as I stupidly took my water tablet before going out.
We needed some shopping so got a bus to Ald. then had to wait in the rain for a bus home. It has brightened up now we are wet and home.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Went in to the tip on way home and offloaded a half used tin of oven cleaner and 2 pairs of old shoes. Gave away a lamp on fb I never liked it. Also sent a parcel of towels and sheets to someone who needs them. On a roll here!Mrs SD yes I would very much like to come home after hospital to a clean ordered house, especially as I'll have to have someone stay with me at first!Magnolia Stellata19

Good evening. Hope you've all had a lovely day.
Managed most of shelf 2 before DD1 arrived there's some vases need a wash and a few bits in the dishwasher. Still more tupperware! Once I know what I've actually got I might have to 'nest' them. And see what we can get rid of. I've counted 12 lunchboxes so far, only 1 of the DC takes lunch to school now so definitely don't need that many.
I've not listed everything as DH kept throwing it before I could write my list.
Haven't managed much else as it's rained most of the day.

1767 Veg Steamer
1768 Kettle
1769 Toasties maker
1770 Iron
1771-1772 2 plant pots

I have done precisely nothing this afternoon apart from watch TV - initially because it rained for several hours & now because I am being lazy 😉 Of course the rain stopped about 17:00 & the sun came out although it is quite breezy & chilly. DSis & I watched a film called Vivarium - a 97 minute run time with 20 minutes of adverts. Even fast forwarding through the ads, it still felt like we were watching the film for at least 4 hours 😩 Suffice to say that we will NOT be recommending it to anyone - not even someone we don’t like 😉 DH made cheesy pasta for dinner & very nice it was too 🤤 Wudupa. Still haven’t heard from DB, so still have 3 frogs to deal with 😔
1726 - 1729 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, 2 glass jars - recycled
1730 Kitchen detritus binned
Florenceem, another busy day for you & MrF 🙂 Sorry to hear you both got wet 😔
Excellent decluttering stellata 👏 You are definitely on a roll 👏 so a medal 🏅 is on its way 😊 With all the decluttering you are doing, you will be able to happily have someone in your home 😊
charlies_tribe, great work on the 2nd shelf 👏 I did smile at the ‘12 lunchboxes’ 😄 I seem to remember that ‘Tupperware breeds to fill the available space’ 😂 Your DH sounds like mine - throws things away without letting me count 😔 Excellent decluttering 👏
Night night everyone, sleep well 😊 Fingers crossed that Tuesday is a dry sunny day 🤞

I keep saying it feels like it should be the start of Autumn as it doesn't feel like summer at all. I felt like doing some winter prep yesterday.
I was going through the grey fabric boxes on top of my wardrobe and saw a moth. I keep getting paranoid about moths as I saw one up there a while back. I took the boxes down and did some decluttering. All the grey boxes are being thrown away and I'm just keeping everything in those plastic "really useful boxes" instead. I didn't see any more moths, but I went through all my winter scarves, hats and gloves etc... and washed them all on a hot wash. Changing the boxes around makes me look like I have one quarter of the stuff now which is nice.:) I should have taken a before and after pic.
I am donating two scarves and a hat from my winter things and I also have a top and two dresses in the charity shop bag. I put a new, not opened retinol cream in too that I don't like.
I tried on some tights and they ripped as I bought some really flimsy ones so I got rid of them along with an old tea towel.
I have someone from the council coming around this morning to give me a quote to collect the bulky waste from my garden, finally! I am getting my oven professionally cleaned this week too as I'm sick of just using the air fryer.

Morning all
Not properly caught up but hope everyone is ok.
RL has been busy plus I've been away to celebrate DD2's graduation and then to a couple of festivals.
Haven't decluttered much although DD1 is still successfully selling some of my clothes on v!nted; got about 1/4 of the stuff left so may add to the CS pile which keeps growing!
I've been going to the library so I'm not buying books, managing to get my book group reads from there even if i have to order them and pay £1, would rather do that than buy a book I'm only going to read once; plus I like to support the library.
Going to log onto work now so wishing you all a nice day.
Hope someone is seeing some sunshine somewhere! None here in the NW

At the weekend we went to the recycling centre and disposed of 3 big sacks of garden waste, plus a large box and bag of stuff into landfill.15 -
