Dfw38 he's gorgeous 😍
I've been following QJ's electronic declutter example and have got rid of lots of old emails & folders, and have started to go through my photo folders. It's something that doesn't take much brain capacity so is ideal for my brain-foggy days.
I've also gone through some of my paperwork, and have a pile for shredding...when I buy a shredder! I generally push everything into an envelope & drop it into the confidential waste bin at work, but I don't want it sitting around until I go back so will have to invest.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Floss - Mr F was back to his recycling role at the SA today - they have a recycling collection now so no more bringing stuff home to wash up and recycle here. Mr F was breaking down cardboard boxes to get more in the recycling bin.
Mrs SD - Mr F has full dentures so it is a gum check up at the Dentist.
We are back on a 5 hour bus trip tomorrow for audio appointments at the hospital.
Eaten at the SA so no cooking for me tonight. There is a prayer vigil about the refugee bill at 7.30.

@Dfw38
I love Ziggy!! Truly, madly, deeply!!!
But also sad that I have yesterday decluttered my cat carrier. I'd promised it to someone to borrow to transport 2 cats that need to be rehomed. And having brushed the cobwebs off, released the moths that were nesting in it and did another brush to get rid of mouse droppings (!) I couldn't figure out why the think rattled so much.
It was one of those soft sided collapsible zip together ones that might look like luggage rather than something quaint like whicker. In the end I decided there must have been some sort of plastic interfacing that stiffened it up a bit and that it had solidified and shattered. Which surprised me given that it was so new.....NOT. Thinking back I must have bought it (from Aldi, £7) when my last 2 were kittens. And Ariadne was the last that died at 17 nearly 2 years back. So it wasn't that new a carrier. So I passed it on to the person who needed it and I said to not bother returning it. Thank you Queen jess you've inspired me ~ 955 emails deletedStill over 6000 in my inbox. I need to learn how to file the ones I want better! But still probably at least half of these can go. This is after giving my emails a massive cull a few months a go!*edited* another 155 gone ~ alot of those were the weekly MSE emails!! I have found if I search a company then they are all in one place and can delete all not wanted easily!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Agree ziggy is so cute... so small compared to our large cat 7.5kg!
Last night drove to pick something up I'd ordered only to find I'd arranged delivery! And then went for swim and having got changed remembered chiropodist said to keep foot dry for 24 hours so back home. Then work laptop stopped working so went in again today. Minor in scheme of things but so conscious of how much to do couldnhave used time. Around 1700 work emails deleted , still over 7000 and I have another work email!
Bag for cs will be dropped off tomorrow !17 -

TC77 - that is a lot better than my rooms - couldn't see the floor in them.
I am so keen on not getting cluttered again - I have started a list of what has come into the house since Mr F came home on June 30th - he has brought nothing in - I have had delivery of two lots of fabric which will be getting used and leaving the house - another order has yet to arrive.
I have been asked to make two black bin bag size bags to hold plastic balls from a playgroup ball pit - brought a duvet and a sheet home from the SA to cut up - scraps will go in the fabric recycling bag. Also brought home a fleece blanket that will make lovely large Christmas stockings and some tartan clothes to make into stockings. Feeling a bit stressed when I write it all down but it is not going to stay here.
Also - came in - 2 bags of knitted premmie jackets/hats which will be sold at the autumn table top sales.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
17:40 I am finally back 😉 I haven’t put DH’s laundry away yet but I have been busy 🙂 However, first I will update you on my DH. His doctors appointment took just 6 minutes & the doctor recommended DH go to A&E. DH phoned from A&E at 15:30 & having been sent to another dept with a 3.5 to 4 hour wait. Just to add the inconvenience DH didn’t take a charger block with him for his phone as he wasn’t expecting to be out for long 😔 I made a decision re dinner & meat has defrosted 🙂 I also dealt with today’s mail & filled in my completion entries - will post tomorrow. Filing, shredding etc is all done + shredder bin emptied. My main task though was to locate various piles of magazines tucked away in cupboards & go through them whilst clearing down more programmes from my TV planner. I clipped out interesting articles which are now in their own folder + read a few articles. I didn’t rush but I did manage to recycle a dozen magazines & a booklet 👏
1641 - 1653 Twelve magazine, booklet - recycled
Timer is on & I will probably do 2 x 23 minute sessions before making dinner. Hopefully DH will be on his way home by then 🤞
1654 Shredder bin emptied
charlies_tribe well done on the decluttering & sales 👏 Hope DD3 enjoyed her school trip 😊 I still haven’t read about anyone being happy with the Report button being so close to the Thanks button 😔even with thin fingers 😉
Florenceem, I am sure you will reach a happy medium re MSE notifications 🤞but meanwhile digital decluttering will up your numbers no end 😉 Well done on sitting MrF down on Saturday & discussing finances & budgeting 👏 - one medal 🏅 on its way 🙂
Wednesday2000, with the insurance company not sorting out your kitchen, I suppose you could say that every cloud has a silver lining as you managed more decluttering & cleaning in the kitchen 😉Excellent work all round 👏 I must admit that having watched a few (but not all) of the Fast & Furious films, I am now rather bored with them 😉 so will probably wait until I can watch it for free 😂
Brie, hope you were successful in clearing down your fridge without having to throw anything away 🤞 I am rather enjoying the fact that my fridge is still quite empty especially as our veg box is due tonight 😊
Florenceem, shame that Sunday’s BBQ was cancelled 😔
Brie, reading your Sunday post my face broke into a huge grin 😀 There is nothing like being a bit silly 😜
GrannyKate, sorry to hear that DGD4 was poorly last weekend 😔 but hopefully she has been well enough to go to school this week 🤞 Hope DS2 enjoys his training course 😊 Great work on the decluttering you have managed to do 👏 Fingers crossed that you have found some time to give yourself some TLC this week 🤞
Brie, excellent decluttering 👏 & I do hope that your friend takes the bag of goodies - should make it easier to let go 🤞
That’s it, time is up 😉 Will be back later - possibly after dinner 😉

@Florenceem you are inspirational!
@Floss forgot to say how I love the pictures and the colours you paint your rooms/hall. I remember admiring the colours and how you display things before.
The massive scratching post was wombled by DD2 , also large cat food box recycled.
Love this wonderful declutterai community.
Also sent back a shirt I had been 'umming and arhing' about and have so many more that I never get to wear.
Off to pilates to declutter some stress and hopefully then move some frogs along later tonight...13 -

The deep blue is a reaction to the 2nd ex-husband's insistence on decorating his house in wishy-washy colours, so I now have my home in the shades I love! My kitchen is sand yellow, my bathroom is bright turquoise, there are vivid wallpaper feature walls in the lounge & both bedrooms and the downstairs loo is bright yellow & grey with my gig flyers & posters displayed 😁2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
