Hi all, today I had a face to face with the doctor. The initial phone call, which was in danger of becoming a frog, started about a meds review and led to a few other things including my wanting someone to have a look at a funny mole. I haven't been really stressed about it as I have lots of moles but it is a bit different and a bit weird. Anyhow a referral has been made and I expect to have an appt in the next 3 weeks or so. On the way home I took a bin bag of hard plastic to the tip
and filled the car with petrol to make the journey worth it
. I have put 2 pairs of slippers in the bin as I have walked through the soles in them. I did have to replace my summer slippers but I have another pair of fluffy ones that will do for the winter. The problem is that I trot around the garden and out to the bin in them so they do take a bit of a battering
This evening I have been hunting for a knitting pattern but can I find it, can I thump. I have found another one I could use but I will have another hunt tomorrow. I had another go at the emails and got rid of 200 and filed about another 200 to look at in the future
Tired now so hugs to anybody who would like one
1020 Dr phone call and appt
1021 bag of hard plastic to the tip
1022 + 1023 slippers to the bin
1024 + 1025 2 x 100 emails permanently deleted
Take care everyone

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Tuesday I was up by 08:40 - it was & still is quite overcast but the sun is trying to break through so fingers crossed that any washing I hang out will dry🤞 I left DH in bed with his leg propped up, gave him his daily tablets + an ibuprofen. Whilst the kettle was boiling I sorted the washing & put the first load on. This is now on the whirligig & the 2nd load is in. I have also watered my garden & will be picking some rhubarb later. The rest of the time I have been catching up on some of my series + reading & doing the competitions in my weekly magazine 🙂 DH got up about 12:15 & is dressed, fully awake & waiting for his call from the doctor. Half the 1st load of washing is already dry & I will be checking to see if any repairs are required. 2nd load is finished & already on the whirligig & 3rd load is in the wm. I just popped out the front & found a bag of birdseed & a tub of fatballs 🤔 DH has just confirmed that neighbour I, left them for us as a gift - very kind of her 😊 The other half of the 1st load is dry, 2nd load still drying & the 3rd is now hung out (15:40) Currently doing repairs - one headband so far 😉 All washing dried except for DH’s jeans as the rain held off until 23:00 🥳. Ended up repairing 3 headbands, a t-shirt, a pair of socks & 6 pairs of knickers. Everything folded & ready to be put away. The only washing left to do is a skirt that needs hand washing & all the motorbike outer wear 👏 We ordered in for dinner - burgers & chips from Five Guys & very yummy it was too 😋 Only a teeny bit of washing up to do 😉 By the way, DH’s call was cancelled & will be tomorrow afternoon. Already gone to bed with an ice pack & is using a crate padded with a duvet to elevate his leg 😉 Just watched last weeks Sewing Bee & my favourite sewer won garment of the week 😊

Excellent work on Thursday oceanspirit 👏 You might have been feeling a bit sluggish but you still got a lot done 😊
Florenceem, ouch to the cost of your glasses 😣 Loving all the Christmas stockings you are making 😊👏 You are so talented 🥳 Does MrF do any type of crafting 😉 I hope MrF is getting fitter & has stopped doing things that worry you 🤞
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Your 2nd photo of Scotland is absolutely stunning 😍
Liverpool_Anne, 6 loads of LDFPA done on Thursday - excellent work clearing Mount Washmore 👏 I will keep everything crossed that your ladders are returned to you 🤞Also well done on completing OH’s blanket 👏 I hope the tgtg box that you picked up on Friday was NOT full of kale 🤞
EnergyShifter, sounds like a very busy week 😉 Very pleased to hear that all your prepping for the Team Building Day was so successful 👏 Well done on restricting yourself to just the five items from the Whitstable charity shops 😉
2Scratters, fully with you - GrannyKate’s 2nd photo captured’ Scotland 😊
More excellent digital decluttering QueenJess 👏 almost at 28,000 🤩
Florenceem, I see QueenJess answered your query 😊
Thanks QueenJess 👏
Excellent decluttering Rootle 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ coming your way for passing the halfway mark 🥳
Blue_Doggy, it is such hard work reading the new format - with all the extra scrolling 😔 I can only see one long post or 2 short posts on my iPad screen 😔 Good work on the decluttering - every little helps 👏 Good luck with the ‘Great Book Declutter’ 🍀
Thanks daisy_1571 👏
QueenJess, I quite agree that the Report button needs to be in its own separate area 😉 I have to be really careful 😬 Excellent digital decluttering & well done on the physical decluttering as well 👏
Floss, the big red blob is annoying on an iPad, I can only imagine how awful it is on a phone 😖 I must try & find QueeJess’s ice cream recipe & have a try at making it 😉
oceanspirit, hope Friday’s tadpole stayed completed 🤞
pollyanna_26, thank you for sharing such lovely memories of Scotland 😊 If I ever went into that Wool Shop in Aberfoyle we would have to empty the bike to fit in all my purchases 😉 I like to remember singers & actors in their heyday- probably why I like old films & old concerts 😂 Sorry to hear about the arthritis 😔 My problem with the techie thread is that I can barely understand what anyone is saying 😉
Liverpool_Anne, a busy Friday - excellent decluttering of emails 👏 Well at least you didn’t get any more kale 😉🙃
Oops, already fallen back into bad habits 🙊 Night, night - see everyone later 👋

Last SA friendship/lunch club today until September.
Mr F admits that he wouldn't feel safe going out without his stick - he is okay walking around the house not using it. Having the stick in one hand will limit his wombling tendency - I was worried that he would start to undo my hard work while he was in hospital - he does agree that having a tidy garage is safer.
No need to go shopping after SA so will come straight home.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Many thanks for compliments on photos. I love the light and shadows you get on the hills in Scotland and the wet weather had made for spectacular waterfalls everywhere. Reading along but not very active on decluttering front but a few bits here and there.

Good Wednesday morning from a rather dark & overcast Isle of Dogs. Didn’t get up until about 10:20 & DH was already out of bed. He got a call from the doctor at 09:45 & has an appointment for this afternoon 😊 He is back lying on the bed with his leg raised & contemplating having a bath a bit later. I think today I will probably do sweet nothing apart from put away DH’s clothes & have a ‘serious think’ about emptying & sorting my wardrobe before putting away my freshly laundered clothing 😂 I think I will leave washing & proofing the motorcycle kit for a couple of days 😉 Back to the cheerleading now as I am still 70 posts behind 😉 wish me luck 🍀 11:40 & my decision not to do any washing today has paid off as we have just had a five minute shower 🙂
2Scratters, I see from Fridays post that you thought I was likely to be the ‘late poster’ 😂 I had gotten into fairly good habits when on holiday but am now back to my late night, late morning routine after just 2 days 😔 No idea about the ‘Back to the Top’ button but I still wish I could see more than 2 posts as all this ‘scrolling’ is ‘doing my head in’ 😉 Your last CS bag was very well travelled 😂 Not a small thing at all, a well organised box is a true joy 🥳 especially as it saves so much time & puts one in a good mood all day👏 Gives me almost as much pleasure as an empty shelf 🤣 In the same vein - Moorviews idea of having an easily accessible ‘day to day sewing repair kit’ without having to delve into a sewing basket/box/tin makes it so much more likely that you will make time to do small sewing jobs as you spot them 😊 All those clothing repairs I did yesterday were only because I found a small sewing kit (which had everything I needed in one place) in my DM’s sewing tin 😅 The small sewing kit is now sitting on a shelf easily to hand 🥳 I hope you had a successful weekend of selling on the Bay 🤞
Florenceem, what a miserable Friday - a 5 hour round trip to MrF’s dentist 😱 I hope everything was OK 🤞
QueenJess, thanks for your clear explanations of techie stuff 👏 More excellent digital decluttering 👏& what a great idea to bring a May B Handy item back into play 👏 Fingers crossed that you can get the mini iPad up & running 🤞
~FlowerPot~, hope the idea about home ed. from charlies_tribe bears fruit 🤞Belated birthday greetings for your mum last Friday 🎉 🎂 What a wonderful & thoughtful birthday present 😊
Wednesday2000, maybe it was a ‘reverse psychology’ dream - perhaps you need more green clothes in your wardrobe 😉 Congratulations on reaching the “Maintenance Decluttering” stage of your decluttering journey 🥳 Friday’s reflexology session sounds great especially as you are sleeping better 😊
Florenceem, hope you have solved the mystery of the ‘MSE vanished emails’ 🤞& I hope that you were not too badly affected by the strong winds when you were out & about on Saturday 🤞
Brie, oops to OH not actually decluttering his shirts 🙊 However, at least they were in the Room of Doom so are now about to leave the premises & at least you can count them in your decluttering totals 😉 At least you now have art materials at your Mum’s so don’t have to remember to take them with you on your next visit 😊
Muddy_Walker, the big red button seems to be annoying everyone 😉 Very pleased to hear that your cleaner LC is working out so well 😊👏 Well observed re the current trend for ‘rewilding’ 👏 I agree that it is not suitable everywhere as it can make places look abandoned 😔 + rewilded area can be a magnet for inconsiderate people’s rubbish 😖 Re the ferocious attacks on Huw Edwards it reminded me of the rather nasty news stories about Cliff Richard back in 2014 & how long it took to clear his name 😔 It seems to be an extremely fine line between ‘public interest’ & ‘right to privacy’ - oh dear, I need to get off MY soapbox now 😥
pollyanna_26, hope the house move is going well 🤞 & that when you do tackle the plethora of emails it will not be too big a task 😉
roundtuit, hope your new glasses weren’t too expensive 🤞& well done on disposing of your old ones 👏 As you say every little helps 😊
-taff, a very successful Saturday - 4 cushions AND 4 radiators 👏🥳 Thanks for the very useful info about Notifications 👏 I followed your instructions & now vaguely remember setting up my preferences when I first joined 😉 I am such a technophobe that I rarely investigate new or even old features for fear of hitting the wrong button & getting confused 😉
Dfw38, so sorry to hear that last week was ‘crazy busy’ & mostly ‘rather unpleasant’ 😔 Hopefully this week life is not so busy & ‘unpleasant’ has been replaced with “Pleasant” 🤞 Boo, to the different CS - their loss & all for the want of such a simple phrase as ‘Thank You’ 😔 I have to say that I don’t think you sounded ungrateful at all 😊 - just a little concerned that your decluttering might be derailed & you might slip back into a ‘world of clutter’ 😉 It is so lovely to hear that Ziggy is bringing you so much joy 🥹 more photos please 🙏
dND, hopefully -taff’s post was useful 🤞& you are now receiving your notifications 🙂
Floss, thanks for the reminder about the location of QJ’s recommendation for an ice cream recipe 👏Great decluttering of wardrobe contents 👏 I hope you have taken a selfie showing your lovely new hairstyle 😉 With all that extra cupboard space, perhaps the speaker & battery charger can be put in a cupboard when not in use 🤔 not very imaginative but the best I could come up with 😉
QueenJess, don’t forget to make some ice cream for the TLC Carriage 😉 Sorry to hear that the kids were a nightmare last Saturday 😔 Excellent decluttering & at this rate you might have reached 30,000 by the time I catch up on the cheerleading 😉
I have just finished another page, so seems a natural place to stop & post 🙂 DH has had a bath & is setting off for his doctors appointment in a few minutes. My tasks before I come back to cheerleading are to decide on tonight’s dinner & deal with today’s mail 😉 See you all in a little while 👋

Thanks Mrs SD, this week is still busier than I would like but will breathe a sigh of relief come friday. I have got a frog to tackle as well - run through dads paperwork and sort out the 'gifts'. We are going on holiday in a few weeks so i want that done before we go🤞
