Is it me, or did the thanks become very hard to use as it's now moved to the middle where it used to be on the right (and previously on the left pre forum change)? The report feels far too prominent to me.Some library tidying done as well as sorting through the other memory boxes. More photos sorted through, although there is a mountain to climb there. There are around 12,000 photos to go through on my laptop and 3,000 on my phone. It'll keep me quiet for a long time! That's probably it for today unless I find more decluttering whilst doing the odd bit of tidying later. I will try to work through more photos whilst watching TV later.Digital:

Thank you for the beutiful pics of lovely Scotland Granny Kate. My favourite place in the world. I love the big night skies full of stars and used to stand outside DD1s house when she and youngest dd were in bed.My eldest dd was living just a short walk from Aberfoyle the other side of the little cottages in Miton.Where her house began there was just another big house on the opposite side of the river with a wooden Pooh bridge my youngest loved. The nights were so lovely only a car every now and then at night making his way back to the foresty site. A lovely man who'd slow down and give me a smile. Both dds thought I was nuts but it was perfect peace outside the grounds of Corrie Nessan.Just an owl or two hooting. All the money in the world couldn't have equaled the perect peace. I've remembered it many times during the last few not so normal years.I'm sorry to hear about your husband Mre SD and hope he's on the mend.I hope you did manage to visit Aberfoyle. We used to spend hours in the Scottish Wool Shop youngest loved it when the sheep were there but the shop was like an Alladins cave. It's were I foung a huge red jingle bell hanging rom a ribbon with Best Beloved cats name on it. That goes on the hristmas tree each year and sometimes I think I hear him jingling the bell at night as he did during the night when the tree was up.Last time we were in the shop I could smell a lovely scent and said to youngest that smells like Scotland in a bottle. The lady behind the counter passed a bottle over and said spray it. It was Scotland in a bottle.Imanged to pick up more from the eco company in Cumbria but that original sprey bottle still has about 6 ins in it and smells just as it always did.During the long winters of the pandemic I would give a little spray during all the tv madess and I;d be back in Scotland again. The Balmoral is a very familiar sight. We never slept there with dd1 havingher house but ate many a meal there so I expect you enjoyed your stay.I hope DH is it enough to enjoy the rest of your break.I'm hoping he;ll get the Harley on the road. friendsandI went to see Bruce Springsteen at Hyde Park a ew weeks ago and were devestated to see how old he looks. Still belts out the songs but not as agile. Lots of the EStreet band were victims of Covid including Clarence whyo added the distinctive sound to the band. When we finaly got home we watched that concert on the Tube then Dancing in the Dark and the conrast was obvious .We decided to put Billy Joel on with We didn't Light The Fire which seemed ok then a more recent clip of him came up. He is now bald. Comments from the men in the party. We;re all older now put the dampner on the+day. We were going to make supper but sent them out for Fish and Chips - There is an award winning chip shop here so not too cruel l but the air was icy. So much or their steak dinner. Finally managed to post on the site, It's very diffferent and I stuggled to work out what waswhere .Quite chilly tonight after the storms so pleasant dreams.and a good nights sleep to all.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Apologies for the typos in my post. The arthritis is playing up and I was so busy trying to figure out ho mw to post I was making mistakes. Not sure if it;s me or the site but everytime I typed the letter F it disappeared so I had to keep correcting that.Thinking about it now it may be the laptop. I've had a few problems when replying to emails.Beanielou had bought a new one and suggested this one to me. It seemed ok but I asked her if hers was still ok and she replied she was ordering a diferent one.I looked at the techie thread and Mar who used to post on the garden fence was asking about a replacement HP laptop. She's only ever bought them but this is only my second. Previous one was a very tempory fill in while the family techie was looking for a prevous laptop for mine which had finally given up.That wasn't a HP but one day it blew the plug out of the socket.Never meant to buy another HP but forgot when I asked Beanie what she'd bought.I did consider asking advice on the techie thread but Mar had a pretty snarky reply and has taken her post down. I'd considered in the past asking questions on the techie thread but whenever I was going to there were some superior know alls . It looks like Mar encountered that attitude.I'll email her tomorrow to see how she is. I have struggled to understand why she only buys HP. At times she's had to change her username to get back on the forums. It became a bit of a joke all the names but she was trying to get back online though I had no idea who the new poster was.She used to change her Avater but I began to realise who this new person was.Bedtime I think it's a good job tomorrow is Saturday so the milkman wont be delivering my glass bottle of milk somewhere around daybreak.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Friday continued - we each had a full Scottish breakfast + coffee & toast & marmalade. DH packed the bike & paid the bill whilst I was ‘using the bathroom’ 😉 TMI coming up - 5 days of rich food is not good for me 😥 Left just after 10:00 in the rain. Fortunately stopped for petrol about 11:00 see TMI 😉 It carried on raining hard until about noon. Then it stay dryish until about 14:00. Rained on & off until 17:30 then drizzled from 19:00 to 22:30 & is probably still drizzling. I had thought the rain was bad until noon, but it was a pleasure in disguise as the rest of the day from noon to 17:30 was horrendous. Inconsiderate drivers, DH was suffering with both his bad leg & his good leg, idiot drivers in towns stopping for no reason & to cap it all trying to turn right from Dunkeld onto the A9 - at least a 10 minute wait & turned left instead - protected by a cement mixer who had been waiting the same amount of time & had to turn right. We ended up travelling 7.5 miles before we could turn around & head to Schiehallion so a 15 mile detour 😖 A godawful junction apparently with frequent accidents 😱 A really miserable afternoon for both DH & me 😔 We arrived at our Holiday Inn, Perth (no Boot Room here 🤣) at about 17:45, checked in, showered & changed & then headed to the pub just after 19:00. Had burgers for dinner whilst we were waiting to meet friends - mum (S) & daughter (L) turned up first then later L’s dad R turned up. Lots of lively chat with two-way, three-way & even four-way conversations going on. Also lots of laughter. A very pleasant end to an unenjoyable day 😮💨
I hope everyone had a good Friday 🤞
Too tired to cheerlead tonight, but hoping for a better day tomorrow 😉 Sleep tight everyone 🙂 (P.S. still not liking the new format & the only change I was really enjoying - having the ‘Report’ button to the left of the ‘Quote’ button has been changed back to having ‘Report’ to the right of ‘Thanks’ 😖)

Hi all, bit of a bleugh day, rain and grey skies. Ald cancelled my 2g2g order which was a pain so nothing to report about that. I have had a long session on my emails as I had been avoiding them again as it was overwhelming so bit the bullet and got stuck in. Managed to delete 1200, filed quite a few and now only have a years worth to work through in the inbox then I can go through all the files again and get rid of some in them. Also 1 pair of socks to the rag bag.
Ln is on her way to Skye so I am in charge of post and watering pots. Luckily no watering required today
@pollyanna_26 if you find anyone who can help with recommendations for lap tops let me know, I really do need a new one
Falling asleep so hugs to anybody who would like one

@Liverpool_Anne it was you who was up late, I said to myself it would be MrsSD, got that one wrong.
I'm on a HP laptop and working my way through the new layout. I ain't no techie ladies lets be clear about that and my next comment might show, I always wondered why there was not a quick way of getting back to the top if needed. Now I have spotted a back to top button. Was it there before and I just never noticed?
Yesterday whilst out and about the last CS bag that had a couple of hundred miles under its backside being sat in the back of my car has now landed in my local drop off cs shop.
Dropped off a return parcel for DH at the Post office on the trip out too.
Now this little event that occurred the other day felt massive, yet in the grand scale of things is nowt. However I needed 2 envelopes to do a frog spawn task of sending in two slips of paper with a rewarding purpose at the end. I also needed a sympathy card.
Now I have ended up with many xmas cards and others and an amount of envelopes to be used up. (stuff from parents house) Its one of those life time stores I am to work on. Anyway, I went to the box and inside was all tidy and like with like were fastened together with elastic bands. They also had post it notes on the front which labelled each bundle. I found 2 suitable envelopes and a sympathy card from the misc bundle. I was so happy of the organisation, it took no longer than 3 mins to chose, replace the bundles back organised again and put the lid back on. Job done. (how small things please)
My aim this weekend is to get some items on the bay and get them moving. I'll let you know how many I managed after monday night so I can be accountable.
Have a good weekend all and take care
